  • In the next window, you can find the options of this process by simply pressing the options key on your keyboard when the "explorer.exe" is highlighted.
  • Now, press the down arrow key and then click on enter to run the option from the end task tab.
  • You will now see a black screen and will also end the "explorer.exe" process.
  • Use the task manager from the menu to press the ALT key to highlight the file tab.
  • In the next tab, you will need to highlight "new run task" with the help of the "down arrow key" and then press enter to select the option.
  • You need to type "explorer.exe" in the field that is given on the screen and enter the tab key to reach the end. Simply click on enter to execute the option and then restart the Windows Explorer.

3. Check third-party software

It might be a possibility that the third-party software might be responsible for this error. There must be software that is installed on your device that has the authority to restrict the normal functioning of your mouse which is the main reason why you cannot click anything unless you remove it from your device.

Try to check if you have installed any macro software, keyboard, mouse software, or any other software which can interrupt the normal functioning. You can simply remove the app to fix this error or you can browse the internet for other solutions to this error.
