The roomba s9+ is for you if you keep your home immaculately clean. It thoroughly cleaned every floor in our home, including hardwood and carpet with deep pile. Even the track marks on our carpet were pleasing. We like that this robot focused on cleaning the dirtier areas of our home after learning where they were. We were quite impressed with it because even our standard non-robot vacuum has trouble with our shed hair. It also didn't struggle with long hair as much as some other robots we tried. We attribute this to the ingenious design of the brushes and rollers because the suction power isn't as strong as some others we tried.

The statistics above obviously support our claim that it is noisier than average, but we think that it is a reasonable trade-off for the high caliber of the clean. When it returns to the spotless base, it makes a loud noise that completely cleans the robot of any dirt. But this only persists for a little period of time. The clean base contained all nasties inside the closed system and reduced the frequency with which we had to fuss with emptying the robot's trash can. The Hepa filter would also be welcomed by allergy sufferers. The app is simple to use, and one feature we frequently used was the ability to define no-go areas and request that it just clean particular sections of the house.

Why do you need a robot vacuum cleaner?

  • Time-saving – The most advantageous feature of a robot vacuum cleaner is that it cleans your house entirely on its own, saving you important time and removing one of your personal chores.
  • Cleans while you’re out – The robot can be programmed to clean on particular days and at particular times. To appreciate the sense of returning home to a clean house, schedule cleaning for when you are out at work.
  • Better reach – Robots can clean underneath large pieces of furniture that you wouldn't often be able to because of their small stature.
  • Vacuum and mopping – Many of the more recent robot vacuums have two functions: vacuuming and mopping.
  • Space saving – Robotic vacuum cleaners are significantly smaller and more stylish than standard vacuum cleaners, taking up much less space in your home.
  • Control remotely – Robot vacuums with WiFi capabilities can be operated and controlled using a smartphone app, and many of these models have voice control that is often compatible with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
  • Spot cleaning - under the dining room table, crumbs? For a quick and simple spot clean, just pick up the robot vacuum and place it next to the problem.

Weaknesses of robot vacuum cleaners

  • Small bin capacity - Due of their tiny size compared to conventional vacuums, robot vacuum cleaners have substantially smaller bin capacities. After each thorough cleaning, you'll discover that the robot needs to be emptied.
  • Price - Robot vacuums are more expensive than standard vacuum cleaners, making them a significant investment in your cleaning regimen even if they are becoming more cost-effective as technology advances.
  • Obstacles - Robot vacuums may become wedged under furniture or on items depending on their size. Before the robot is scheduled to clean, make sure the space is at least somewhat clear; don't leave cables and socks laying around.
  • Stairs and corners - Although they can't climb stairs, robot vacuum cleaners will stop cleaning before reaching the top of a flight, so you don't have to worry about them falling. You will still want a different vacuum cleaner to clean these regions because the majority of models cannot fit into corners.
  • Battery life - Most models have a runtime of at least 60 minutes, which won't be long enough to thoroughly clean a large home. When the battery is low, the robot will return to the charging base, but once it is fully charged, it will come back to the area to continue cleaning.
