It's not advisable to use harsh chemicals just to stay away from molds. It can usually grow in the areas where moisture and humidity are on a high level. Vinegar is one of the best things to use to kill molds. Not only it is always available, but it's also cheaper and safe. It cannot be harmful since you can even use it for cooking. This is a form of mild acid that can kill around 82% of mold species. To effectively kill mold, use some white distilled vinegar. You can put it in a spray bottle so that you can easily apply it to the molded area. Soak it for at least an hour before rinsing it with water. Make sure to dry the area that you cleaned to tone down the smell of vinegar. But it should be gone after a few hours so don't worry about it.

Baking Soda

Is there anything that baking soda cannot do? It seems that it is a universal cleaner as well and this amazing product can also be used to kill molds. The best part of using baking soda is that it can kill mold and absorb the moisture of the area at the same time. That way, you no longer have to worry about a new mold forming in the same area. Just make water and baking soda solution and apply it to the area where the mold is. Scrub the area to remove the mold and then rinse with water. Apply the baking soda solution again to finally kill other molds that may still be in the area. Just leave it to dry so mold will no longer come back anymore.

How to Prevent Mold?

To prevent mold that can be harmful to your health, it is better to prevent it from forming instead. As the old saying goes, prevention is still better than cure. So to make sure that you will not have any mold problems, it's best to prevent it from happening even before it starts. it can grow both inside and outside of your home. Since mold likes darkness and moisture to grow, you can still prevent it from forming so that it will not ruin your home and have a bad effect on your health.

1. Always check for the signs of mold.

You can smell a musty odor when mold is present. Just look for it especially from your storage room since it's usually where molds form since you don't usually pay much attention in that area.

2. Use a dehumidifier.

It can be the best solution if you don't have proper ventilation.

3. Let some sunshine to get in.

If possible, open your windows to let some sunshine in to avoid moisture to get stuck.

4. Try to have proper ventilation around the house.

Proper ventilation can solve the airflow issue so that your house will not get attack by molds.

5. Be through whenever you clean.

It's better to always check the areas where mold can appear so you can prevent it before it settles into your home.
