Most of the advantages you can get from blogging are about your character and your development as a person. The journey of blogging can shake you in the good and at the same time in the bad sense. However, every small and big success, every obstacle makes you stronger even if you do not understand it at that moment.

The development of speech equals the development of the mind

When you talk to a successful person, you will most likely notice that they can convey the same information to you in dozens of different words and phrases. It is as if they have a magazine, which is available at any time to enter one of the most powerful “weapons” of man, speech.

Through blogging and specifically through the written word you learn to transfer what you have in your mind, to your screen. At first, you will have a hard time, people will not understand what you really mean. But as time goes, on you will practice the brain in the written word and you will be able to express yourself more freely and at the same time much more specifically.

Then you will have a better understanding of how you perceive each text, you will be able to speak better with those around you and pass the message you really want.

What is the trap and why do most people do not understand this change?

Because like most things in nature, your brain needs time to change and adapt to the new data you set for it.

Challenge yourself to write 200 words every time you sit at your computer. In 8 months to a year, you will not understand when you have reached 500 words in half an hour, while at the same time your texts become even more comprehensible and thorough.

Guest blogging and personal development

I would say that guest blogging contributes most of all to your personal development since you achieve many things at once:

  1. You learn other bloggers.
  2. New people know you (you and your blog).
  3. You get backlinks and you do better SEO.

You reduce selfishness and leave the reasoning “why should I write on another blog and help it?”. I heard this view through a friend and it really impressed me… mainly because it is 100% unfounded for the reasons I mentioned above and especially for the next argument.

And most importantly, you make new friendships that are not measured by SEO ranking, views, or money.

You accept that nothing will be perfect

For better or worse, as in our daily lives, so in blogging, there will always be something we do not like. After all, a large part of human evolution is based there, the inherent feeling “how can I improve what I do not like?”. This tendency can be good for you and improve what really needs to be fixed or you can become psychotic.

Whatever it is from one point and then you will understand deep inside that there will always be something that will bother you, while at the same time you will appreciate what you have created.

This great joy and satisfaction for what you have achieved will give you the strength to continue even when you feel that you want to give it up.

You learn to work with those around you

“Development is not random, but the result of a collective effort” ~ James Cash Penney

If you are not the only one writing on your blog and you are part of a team, you are called to learn to cooperate with others regardless of the circumstances, as well as to resolve any possible misunderstandings.

In fact, what I find most difficult is to learn to convey the message and purpose of the blog to the team, when it is very likely that the blog will be able to generate a steady income, financial incentives are non-existent.

The art of being able to transport and persuade people to join a group, simply because they like to write and express themselves through texts is something that will not be forgotten and will help you throughout your life.

If we go one step further, even more difficult, is for the team to continue to be productive, so that there is growth in the blog.

Difficulties and personal development

Through the whole blogging process, you learn a lot about yourself, especially when you are faced with difficult situations. Whatever you believe about yourself or what your friends say about you, who you are showing to a large extent how you react (or do not react) to everyday life and its challenges.

This “test” is not done either to judge yourself or to feel bad if you are anxious, for example. But to learn how you see reality and what you can do to overcome difficult situations.

“There are some things you learn best in good weather but you also learn best in a storm” ~ Willa Cather

So you learn from your mistakes and appreciate even more the “clear sky”.
