Are you a garden-love person like me?

Enjoying planting and are delighted to use your own plants for your food recipes.

Here's a case that probably already happened to you:

You are at a garden store, looking for aromatic plants and beautiful flowers to add to your garden when you realize that you aren't sure about what equipment is necessary to do that.

So, here, I will help you know what tools I consider you need to plant anything you want in your garden.

Top 5 Gardening Tools

1. Hand Trowel

A hand-held trowel is essential, especially if you have plant vases in your house. This tool allows to you cave small holes in the ground until preparing the soil in the vase before putting seeds on them. In my experience, I always needed to use it when I had to transfer one plant to a bigger place or when I wanted to plant new seeds that I had bought in the garden store, as well as use it to fill the pots with soil before sowing the seeds. It is a helpful tool that you will use every time for most varieties of tasks.

2. Hose or Watering Can

Hose or a Watering Can?

That will depend on your requirements. If you have a large garden with trees planted on the ground, probably the hose will allow you more freedom and access through all plants. But, if you just have small pots and vases inside your home, I recommend to you the watering can, because with it you will have less trouble watering your plants, it will give the safety that you need to water the vases inside your house without running the risk of wetting the floor.

3. Sprinklers Type

If you selected to have a Hose or a Watering Can, in any way you need to look out for the sprinklers type, it is not just going to the garden shop and buying any equipment. You need to understand your necessities, some Sprinklers have a wide spray, however other equipment doesn't have any sprinklers attached, and the water just drops on the soil surface.

To not destroy the soil composition, it is crucial that the Hose or Watering Can have a sprinkler attached. If you have large vases or on-ground plants, you can select the wide-sized spray to cover all the roots parts. But be aware, if you just have indoor plants and small pots, choose the small size spray that can allow you to water just the vase surface and maintain your floor cleaned.

4. Garden Hoe

If you are planning to plant directly on the ground, like fruit trees, or want to make a bed for your flowers... You need this one! Certainly will help you a lot, because some soils are rough and hard to revolve. Every once in a while, you will need to remake your ground, put some manure and composts, increasing the fertility of the soil. So, to help you with that work, the Hoe will be great and could save you time.

5. Pruning Shears

That will be your best friend in the garden. Seriously, for me, that is the most important tool that you need to have to make your garden a Happy Garden!

All the plants need maintenance. If you want to have beautiful flowers, stunning fruits, or vigorous trees, you must have a Pruning Shear.

But why pruning is so necessary? As a Plantsman, I know that sometimes we are just concerned about sowing the seed or transplanting a sapling and waiting for it to grow. Assuming that our job was done and from now, we hope nature does her job.

But, it is not true. As fathers or mothers of our plants, we need to continue to help them. Pruning is a vital part of cultivation. Whenever we cut one branch, the plants send the message to produce more roots, and the roots send more energy to the aerial part of the plant.

For example, if you want a better bloom, you need to cut off all dead leaves or sick parts of the plant. That way, the roots will provide more energy to the healthy branches and give you fabulous flowers. In other cases, if you do not want the flowers because you want to use the leaves to put in your recipe like the Basil leaves. When you prune the flowers, the plant produces more leaves, staying healthy and with a long time of life.

Those were my tips for you to have a beautiful and happy garden! I'm sure that you will enjoy it even more gardening after this reading.
