Tackling a dirty bathroom may seem like a daunting task. All the moisture and darkness in the bathroom can attract mold, leaving it a breeding ground for bacteria to grow. This is why it is important to stay on top of keeping a bathroom clean. Usually, a quick cleanup is enough for the everyday. However, it is important to have a deep cleaning of the bathroom once a week. With the right tools, you can clean your bathroom quickly and thoroughly.

Working Your Way Down

When cleaning your bathroom, it is important to work your way down. You should start by cleaning the mirror and dusting the cobwebs first.

When dusting the cobwebs, you need a duster with a long handle to get in the corners. You may even need a chair or step stool to reach up high in the corners that meet with the ceiling.

Once you have done that, it is time to move on to the mirror. Some people use a cloth with their favorite glass cleaner. The best thing to use is a squeegee or newspaper to really get the glass gleaming.

Cleaning the Sink

Next, you should clean the surfaces. This brings us to the sink. When cleaning the sink, you need a cloth and your favorite bathroom cleanser. You can use something industrial or you can opt for eco-friendly cleansers. You should start by cleaning the faucet. Then, you should clean the outside of the sink. Lastly, clean the inside of the sink.

Cleaning the Bath

We should then move onto the bath. Some people have a shower, and some people have a bath. The cleaning is relatively simple. You should scrub the bathtub or shower floor with your favorite bathroom cleaner and a brush or sponge. A brush is better as it is more hygienic.

You then want to unclog the drain. There is an easy way to figure out how to unclog a shower drain. Try pouring boiling water down the drain. If that does not work, you can mix a third of a cup of vinegar with a third of a cup of baking soda and pour it down the drain.

Once you are finished with that, spray your favorite shower spray all over the walls of the shower. Some of these sprays are mold removers, so if you start to see some mold growing in your shower, these sprays can help get rid of them. You can then throw your shower curtain in the washing machine.

Cleaning the Toilet

Now that you are done with the bath, you want to move onto the toilet. When cleaning the toilet, it is good to use a different washcloth, sponge, or brush from the one you used for the sink and bathtub/shower, as it is more hygienic. Start by cleaning the outside of the toilet with the bathroom cleaner. This includes the toilet seat. Once you have done that, raise the toilet seat and apply your favorite toilet bowl cleaner on the outer rim of the toilet bowl. Then use the toilet brush to scrub the inside of the toilet.

Mopping the Floor

Now that all the surfaces in the bathroom are clean, it is time to mop the floor. Fill a bucket with water and pour in the floor cleaner soap. Put the mop in and wring out the excess water. Now, mop the floor. Once you have mopped the floor, throw out the water.

Finally, A Clean Bathroom

Following these steps, you are sure to have a clean bathroom in 30 minutes or less. You can even cut down on the time if you maintain the bathroom every day. So, when you use the toilet, make sure the bowl and seat are clean. After you have bathed or showered, rinse out the tub. This will cut down on the scrubbing time and make cleaning the bathroom less of a chore.
