Scientists, virologists and the government agree: In times of a corona pandemic, people should stay at home and only leave the house if there is really no other way.

This unaccustomed leisure time is naturally accompanied by the question of how best to spend time in one's own four walls. It's a great idea, for example, to sit at the sewing machine and design cool clothes on your own. These are rounded off by individual sewing labels, which are available at Dutch Label Shop, for example. The following article shows further ideas for using the Corona crisis productively.

Browse the media and audio library

Because of the Corona pandemic, the audio and media library's programmes are particularly suitable for the little ones. From podcasts and ghost hunts to classic fairy tale films, there is something for every taste. After all, the public service programmes have been specially adapted for the current time.

Those who prefer to do without technology can grab a nice children's book and practice as a reader. For adults, the range of offers also includes interesting readings and interviews about the Leipzig Book Fair, which could not take place due to the pandemic.

Work on your fitness

The excuse that there is simply no time for sport no longer applies. Leaving the house to go jogging is allowed even in times of Corona - as long as you run alone.

In addition, training is also possible within your own four walls - and without expensive fitness equipment. Exercising with your own body weight can be just as strenuous and burn off a lot of excess energy.

Embellish your home

To conjure up a beautiful summer decoration at home, you do not necessarily have to go to a shop. Almost everyone will find a few empty jam jars and a few scraps of wool at home. The other necessary components can certainly be found on a nice and relaxing walk in the forest.

Virologists even agree that a walk in the fresh air strengthens the immune system. With a few flowering twigs along the way, a great summer decoration can be conjured up, for example in the form of wreaths of flowers or fancy vases.

Time for beauty care

Of course not only the home can be beautified, but also its inhabitants. Since the house should not be left anyway, it is no problem to let creams or masks work on the skin all day long.

If the necessary products are not available, they can also be produced without any problems on your own. Great ingredients are for example avocado, sugar, honey, curd, oil or coffee.

Become a potato farmer

Potatoes can be grown on your own terrace or balcony without any problems. The potatoes are planted in space-saving pots. Although the harvest is only enough for a few meals, the cultivation of potatoes is also an exciting experiment, especially for children.

Bake tasty bread

If there is enough time and patience, it is a great idea to bake bread at home. The care of the dough can take several hours or even days.

Even people who do not have strong baking skills should give their own bread a try. If a few tips are followed, even baking beginners will get a great bread dough.

You can also try to bake Banana bread. Banana bread' is one of the most popular sweet breads in the United States. It has nothing to do with traditional bread - it's moister, sweeter, and often spices are used to enhance its taste. It is just a sweet banana cake :-). Surely the advantage is the fact that bananas are now available practically all year round. It is quick to prepare, and instead of yeast, baking soda is used. Various variations of this bread allow to add fruit, spices and nuts. Although it does not store well at room temperature, it can be frozen for a long time.
