Of course, she brought her time losing weight this time, but she was in a considerably better mental state than before.

Shortly after, she was doing acting in American Horror Story, where she had to model a fat suit. And these were her two wake-up call. “It was sobering,” Metz said. ‘What if I get that fatty and can’t walk everywhere or get stuck in the doorframe?’ I wondered. I said to myself, ‘I don’t like this for me.’

NO – Metz says she did not have weight-loss surgery and does not plan to have it in the future.

“The query I wish people would halt asking me is, ‘Are you having weight-loss surgery?’

Metz revealed that the turning moment in her weight loss journey happened in 2010. She awoke in the center of the night suffering from extreme heart palpitations. “I’m like, What is this?” she said of the happening. Am I going to die? What’s going on? It was scary.

The actress moved to the hospital, where doctors decided that she was holding a panic attack, but that her weight was most probably a factor, telling Metz, “You can’t persist on this path.”
