ARE YOU LIVING LIFE ON YOUR OWN TERMS?

What steps could you take today to more fully experience life on your own terms?

So often, we go through life on auto-pilot. Sometimes we need a quote like the one above to make us stop and really look at our life and what we are creating. It is not how much money you make that determines your wealth, it is how much money you keep.

Today, I invite you to look at your actions and ask yourself…Are the actions I am taking today in regards to money building wealth or perpetuating the survival cycle?

Warren Buffet says, “Do not save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving.”

Let’s begin…

Pay yourself first

One of the key tenents of wealth building is to pay yourself first. Many people recommend putting 10% of every dollar you earn aside for you. In Access Consciousness, Gary Douglas, teaches this is your having account. As you do this faithfully, as an honoring of you, you will get to a point to where one day you look at your having account and it completely changes the way you feel and operate around money. Because all of a sudden you just have money. That is a different amount for each of us. I encourage you to do this for personal finances but also for you business as well. It creates a sense of ease and a space of wealth for your business.

Set up automated withdrawal for savings & investing

If you don’t already, I invite you to set up an automated percentage to have withdrawn from each pay period to begin building your wealth. If it is taken out automatically and you never see it; you will not miss it. It is easier to have it automatically withdrawn than if you see that money and then transfer it; many things will come to your mind that you could spend that money on. You can find every excuse in the book to not begin saving for your future. What if you flipped that around and began to make excuses in defense of wealth building instead of spending it on things you do not want. Often it is the endorphin rush of shopping that we really want not the item that we purchased. Think about how many times you have purchased something and was so excited; you just had to have it and then you got home and realized it really wasn’t something you truly wanted. It was the excitement of shopping. Where could you create experiences of living that gave that feeling to you?

Adding Income Streams

Many times people think about money, and they automatically look at what they can cut out. But what if you made it a habit to examine your expenditures monthly, and cut out those subscriptions you do not use, or auto-payments that you forgot about. If you are doing this on a monthly basis and you want to find more money for savings, what if instead of cutting out that Latte that lights up your day: you began to look at ways to implement additional revenue streams into your business? If you don’t have a business and you are just working a 9-5; what side hustle could you add that is a spin off of one of your hobbies, or favorite activities?

What additional products or services could you add to your current business offerings that would tie in beautifully? Many times business owners leave money on the table. If you personally don’t have the time to do this, then what could you delegate or outsource in your business so you could work on building your business instead of working in your business?

Automate, Delgate & Outsource

I invite you to take a couple hours to examine the functionality of your business systems. Where could you automate? What systems could you implement that would streamline the way processes are done in a consistent & uniform manner? What tasks and duties are you still performing as the employee that could be delgated or outsourced; so you could step into your role as CEO? Building more wealth is easier when you step into your role as head and leader of your company. What could you let go of today that would create greater ease in the functionality of your business and also create greater ease for you personally?
