A clear and comprehensive guide to getting the most out of your iPhone to enhance productivity, focus, and health

The iPhone might be a powerful tool, like “Candy Crush Saga” while you're standing in line at a restaurant to order, or taking a picture of your lunch tacos. With the overwhelming amount of time you spend on your phone playing games or checking social media, it's a safe bet that you do a lot of other pointless activities on your phone, too. You could do something wonderful with that iPhone and better your life.

1. Import medical data, set up a Medical ID

Data from a healthcare provider can be imported into the Health app using an earlier approach that Apple introduced. Since this makes information important to your quest for improved health easier to find, you may readily access it, like vaccines, allergies, medications, blood pressure, hospital visits, and more.

Not only that, the Medical ID function allows you to have your food allergies and prescriptions, as well as other medical information, easily accessible to others around you when your phone is locked. Within the Health app, tap the Medical ID tab. Afterward, click Edit, and enter your emergency medical contact information and any extra details you want to include such as your blood type and whether you're an organ donor.

2. Use Fitness Plus to get fit.

Fitness has recently advanced with the introduction of the all-new service, Fitness Plus, which is embedded into every iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. For workout tracking, the Apple Watch app was created specifically for Apple Watch users. It also releases workout videos of varying difficulty for various skill levels every week. You don't need an Apple Watch to use the Apple Health app and link it with popular health-tracking apps such as MyFitnessPal and Fitbit. Your iPhone's built-in gyroscope can seek “walking asymmetries.”

You can use your iPhone for a lot more than simply games and social media updates; all you need to do is optimize your iPhone for maximum productivity! You may put these ideas and methods to good use, and use these iPhone capabilities to better your health and productivity. If you're in the market for an iPhone and aren't interested in testing out the cool features in a lab, come to The Store for the largest variety of certified used iPhone offers, all of which are available with The Store's warranty guarantee.

3. Assign the schedule of Night Shift

Turning on Night Shift before bedtime will help you catch more Zs as well as keep your eyes healthy. This app changes the color of your iPhone from blue to red or warm. According to the medical community, it is imperative to limit one's screen time and exposure to blue light at least two hours before going to bed, therefore this function is required if you want to use your phone in the evening. To activate Night Shift, tap the "Settings" icon, then "Display & Brightness," and finally "Night Shift." Move the warmth slider to the right, and schedule Night Shift (More Warm).

4. Use the Do Not Disturb feature

To be honest, everyone should make use of this feature at bedtime. You won't hear a peep or ping from work emails or Facebook status updates since DND silences all alarms on your iPhone. This option, which allows calls from favorites to go through, is designed for emergencies only, and if you like, you may even activate the iPhone to ring when you get multiple calls from the same number.

5. Alphabetize apps and directories

People who use Android assume that all their apps are organized in alphabetical order. However, some iPhone users have found that their app order is not completely random, but rather messy after some time. Do not delay, come up with the name of the app you want, and find it as soon as possible. To accomplish this, go to Settings > General, then go all the way to the bottom of the page and click the button labeled "Reset." To go from one letter of the alphabet to the next, choose “Reset Home Screen Layout.”

6. Make your phone or computer notify you less (at least most of them)

Before anything else, remove any distractions. Some apps want to alert you every time, but the persistent pinging of an iPhone during the day is merely a nuisance. If you want to turn it off, go to the Settings app in the Apple system and then select Notifications. Then, choose all of the applications you don't want to be notified about, and deselect them. Additionally, we strongly recommend that you disable the “Raise to Wake” option, which will display notifications on your lock screen when you pick up your phone. To do so, select the Display & Brightness option, where you'll find the option to Wake the Screen.

Unless you want to miss something (like phone calls), notifications should remain on for certain applications, such as food delivery apps, your calendar reminders, and your phone call alerts. But for the other 95%, leave them out of your vision to allow you to concentrate on the moment at hand.
