5 Steps to Neutralizing Brain Clutter

Using the magic of the ‘Neutralizing into Love’ container.

I’ve played with this concept for a while now and finally feel clear enough about it to share.

Throughout my own life I’ve had a hugely Busy Brain and as I saw the effort my brain went through to monitor and control my actions I also saw the solutions. These solutions are a mixture of simple and complex mind walk style meditations that I have created and use inside my mentoring/coaching practice as well as creating recordings for online use.

However, some of the mind walk pictures are just so simple that they need only for me to say them out loud, so to speak, and to allow You to grow the picture in your own mindscape. So here goes.

Your brain is a computer

Have you thought about this concept, that your brain is a computer? Lots of us humans live by what our brains present to us and we see this information as sound reasoning and good common sense.

BUT, what if the reasoning comes from old files? Have you considered that your brain may need defragging, or even some files archived?

Placing the wonderful work of the brain into a computer concept gives you such a wide mind walk space to play in so enjoy what becomes your way of dealing with old files.

Your brain regularly uses the same files.

Consider this heading.

How many files does your brain really use? If you ‘saw’ all of your brain files in tall filing cabinets how many labels would there be? How many drawers would be in use? How many would be dusty from lack of use?

From my work as a mentor and change facilitator, it’s my experience that many files are filtered through the fear basket and many of the others are filtered through an old lens.

The fear-based files probably don’t even give you high alerts, more often they undermine your thoughts and your every day courage with ‘memories’ and ‘ooops that might hurt’ information. Think about it, how many times has your brain received information from your surroundings and from media about the unsafe spaces, the scary people, the negative actions.

It believes what it hears, especially when it hears information more than once, then it feeds this information back to you when The Brain feels its important, not especially when you need it.

The Neutralizing With Love Box.

OK, you get the picture about the brain, the files, the fear-based mechanisms. So what do we do about it?

My way of dealing with this is this:

Step one – as soon as you acknowledge that you’re thinking about something which you would consider to be from an old file, stop (mentally) and catch the thought.

Step two – in your stillness have a look inside your mind scape and see how your files are stored. Investigate, play, get to know the space.

Step three - With the thought caught in a still frame, have a look at it and (again, mentally, or else you may get strange looks) appraise it. Is it something you need, is it making you feel bad about something in the past that you have no need to remember?

Step four – Now we get to create a Neutralizing With Love container. This is your picture, your vision, something that you can see and feel would actually complete the task of neutralizing an unwanted file. Hold that picture in your mindscape as we most to the next step.

Step five – Gather up the file that your brain just presented you with and pop it into the neutralizing with love container. Close the lid. Done.

OK, you’ll possibly get a rerun on this file in your thoughts, but I know that when you see it next time it won’t have the same energy, the same effect. So I suggest you just . . .

Rinse and Repeat

Play with this personalized mindscape and expand on how you neutralize files. Even pop some seemingly positive files into the container, as adding Love in this way allows a great clarity and understanding.

If this feels good then try it and feel it – there doesn’t seem to be a downside, just a clarity that comes from a good spring clean.
