2020 Holiday Gift Guide For The Person Who Has Everything

They will officially have it all... +1

Well, here we are… the 2020 holiday season. This time of year looks totally different than we’re used to, which is mostly sad, but if we’re going to pretend to find a bright side, there really isn’t any pressure to have gifts arrive on time for people outside of your immediate household, and you’re also going to be doing most of your shopping at home online, drink in hand, with or without pants.

Now I get it, gift guides are a dime a dozen, mostly curated by gloriously beige influencers who JUST LOVE THIS THING OMG SWIPE UP. Which, I mean, cool. Who doesn’t love a mass produced polyester jogging pant from Amazon for under $20 not made under the most ethical or sustainable conditions?

The truth is, we know what most people in our lives want for the holidays. Dad always wants his annual slippers that will be funky enough to walk themselves out to the trash Christmas Eve. Mom loves anything as long as it comes from you, and so on. But what about your sister’s husband Todd who literally has all of the cool stuff already and brags about everything? Your college senior niece, Veronica, who is simply too cool for anything not sustainable and locally sourced?

What in the world do you get the people in your life who already have everything? How do we buy cool gifts for the people in our lives who just go out and buy what they want when they want it?

Look no further, I gotchu. Here’s a curated list of unique, ethically sourced and sustainable gift ideas from non conglomerates. No swipe ups needed.

Join me on this sleigh ride of cool stuff, won’t you?

For The Gamer

EPlight Creative Lighting Fireworks Effect LED Bulb Table Lamp Ambient Light - $29.95

Gamers love to sit in the dark with tons of ambient light around them. This table lamp is a nice addition to a gamer's vibe without it looking like something out of a 1990's laser tag arcade.

For The Clotheshorse

Black and White 3/4 Pullover Sweater - The Collective lhe & Makery - $69

They're obsessed with fashion, but nobody has worn anything with a zipper since March, so how do you get them something fashion forward for chillin' at home? This cozy pullover from The Collective lhe & Makery checks all the boxes!

For The Gadget Guru

Smartphone Controlled Paper Airplaine - Uncommon Goods - $50

Sure they've got military grade drones they can fly with their airpods or something, but do they have a paper airplaine they can fly with their phone? Nope! Even if it isn't impressive by their impossible tech standards, they can't deny it's pretty cool.

For The Foodie

Oyster Gift Pack - Lowcountry Oyster Co. $150

You know what they say, "Give a foodie a bag of oysters and a shucking knife, and well... they'll be busy til they lose a thumb!" These oysters are shipped direct from South Carolina, which will for sure impress the foodie in your life.

For The 'Too Cool' One

'Go To Therapy' Tote Bag - danadrewdles $40

Ah, yes. Our favorite resident edgelords. They're never without a message and a healthy dose of sarcasm, and boy have we found the shop for them! Not only are there cute totes like this, but tons of other great items like t-shirts, stickers, and more!

For The Wino

Nr. 10 Frauen am Weinen Print - Judith Clara Art $19

Don't panic! The website is supposed to be in German, you are not drunk! Well, you might be, but the site is really supposed to be in German. The wine lover in your life is probably getting plenty of bottles of their favorite vintage to drink in their bathrobe on New Years Eve, so why don't you get them something to look at! Judith Clara Art has an assortment of wine inspired prints and canvasas for those who love red wine, white wine, or both!

So there you have it! Great gift ideas for the weird holiday season that is 2020 for the people in your life who have probably spent their time online shopping for nine months, but they haven't seen this cool stuff yet. Happy Holidays!
