Your home is the place where you retire, rest, relax. It is like a temple to which you should return with pleasure and joy without disturbing your peace. It happens that sometimes there are insects that bother you and you have no idea that they are there.

Here are 10 examples of such pests you might find in your home:

Mites

Whether we like it or not, mites are in every home and feed on dead skin cells. You can't eliminate them, but you can be careful not to overdo it with your daily cleaning routine. Wash the bed with hot water at least once a week and vacuum the carpets, furniture, and mattress as often as you can.

Remove them from the children's plush toys and put them in the freezer. Seal them in a sealed bag and leave them there for at least 48 hours. Mites do not withstand such low temperatures.

Weevil

The ladybugs hide in rice and other grains to lay their eggs, and you don't even know you have something in the house until you see them everywhere in the pantry.

The most effective remedy is general cleaning. Get rid of all the bags that are open, such as flour, cornflakes, pasta, then throw away all the bags of gelatin or soup spices.

Ladybugs do not eat such things, but they can hide there until the next supply of food bags. Once you've emptied the shelves, spray with insecticide, and only then can you shop again.

Carpet beetles

Carpet beetles are harmless, but their larvae are dangerous because they eat everything in their path, from clothes to books. If you see anything suspicious, look closely at the clothes and wash or dry them. Finally, use insecticide to get rid of these larvae.

Millipede

Myriapods are extremely dangerous insects for some: some species secrete toxic substances to the skin, while others, larger in size, can bite a human.

They like the wetter environment, underwood, in areas with cut vegetation or many leaves. If you want to get rid of them, insulate the house, cover the cracks and apply disinfectants.

Blowfly

Usually, mosquitoes are attracted to unfinished food, fruits started and left on the table. They are fast and multiply very quickly.

To get rid of them, store the fruit in the refrigerator, wash the utensils used to prepare the food, and take out the garbage. If, after these measures, you notice any more insects, add half a glass of apple cider vinegar, a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, and top up with warm water. This will attract the mosquitoes and destroy them.

Bedbugs

The bedbugs usually live outside, but when the weather cools, they prefer to enter the house to hibernate. No matter how tempting you are to kill them, don't do it because it eliminates the bad smell that attracts many such insects. The only way to get rid of them is to vacuum them, but take the vacuum cleaner bag away from home.

Ants

Ants are looking for food, water, and shelter, so the first room might be the kitchen or bathroom. An effective remedy to combat them is the special ant trap, but this is not recommended if you have a small child or pet.

The best way is to clean the moon, to vacuum - it will help you eliminate the smell of ants, and your house will not attract more. Another habit that will keep insects at bay is to take out the trash every day.

Cockroaches

Everyone, especially those who live in big cities, has faced the problem of kitchen beetles at least once. If you've seen one in your kitchen, take action, because there's probably an entire colony somewhere.

They are durable, so take every precaution: spray insecticide under the sink, behind the toilet bowl, along the refrigerator, or in any other place where they may be. Gather immediately after eating and take out the trash so that there are no temptations for them.

Flies from the kitchen drain

They live and lay their eggs in clogged drains, especially in the kitchen. If you notice a fly near the sink, first identify the leak where it might come from, most likely because it is a clogged sink.

All you have to do is clean the pipes and make sure the water flow is resumed. Then use a clogging liquid to eliminate any possibility of flies being there.

The silverfish

The silverfish is an insect that prefers food rich in flour and sugar, book glue, cardboard, but also dead insects. It's a pest that's pretty hard to get rid of.

Do not keep waste paper in the house, and non-seasonal clothes should be stored in plastic boxes. Constantly heat the rooms and ventilate them: this habit helps to reduce the humidity in the room. Moreover, you need to take the rugs out of the bathroom and vacuum all the dark corners.
