We are living in the era of globalization and only those who follow the path of innovation will survive. I was younger when MSN, MySpace, and other social networks were making furor on the web. But as soon as Facebook appeared, with its innovative way of interacting on the web, these social networks simply disappeared. And so are some platforms for content creators.

Some content creation platforms impose some limits that could be easily solved such as forms of payment, withdrawal times, very high fees, geographical blocking, and many other things that hinder a giant range of creators eager to dive into innovation with something that only they know how to do.

So many content creators are looking for places that facilitate their ways of creating and making income with their content. And many platforms that limit some resources are losing places with new platforms that are appearing in the market innovating and facilitating the way we should start acting in the digital market.

Recently I was on my Facebook account looking at the wedding photos of my newly married friends. And that's when I came across an ad as shown in the image below.

For any creator seeing similar ads, it gives that expectation in knowing what is new in this platform. And it was exciting what I did. I went running to see what was being announced, after all the internet always provides us with surprises and we are always curious to know the proposals of new platforms for content creators. Because that is exactly what we are interested in.

I've been looking at the comments and there's a range of positive comments about the platform and its innovative way they use it to deal with creators. I know that sometimes some companies hire people to simulate comments in order to attract the public. But I went deeper and looked for what the creators were saying elsewhere. The answer is Patreon, Ko-fi, now they are done because Buy me Coffe is very strong in the market.

But what is Buy me Coffee?

Buy Me a Coffee is a quick and simple way to accept support and offer extras to your audience. Instead of asking your audience to donate (Ko-fi) or 'become your patron' (Patreon), you can ask your audience to buy you a coffee. It's that simple. You can also share exclusive posts for supporters, sell digital downloads, set goals, and more! The best part - all these features are available to everyone and you are never asked to pay a monthly fee to unlock a feature.

Buy me coffee is saying the following. Stop expecting donations and sponsorships in places where even after you get the donations or sponsors, you can't withdraw your funds immediately. Here we do not call donors and sponsors "customers" or transactions. They are your supporters. Here we pay you instantly into your PayPal or bank account. No delays of 30 days. Here you have 100% ownership of your supporters. We never send them by email and you can export the list whenever you want. Here you can talk to a human asking for help, or if you just want some advice to start running.

"They are saying in the face of the competitors that the business is now another, or accompanies the dance, or plays the same music."

And what are the creators saying with this?

The various forms of facilitated payments, the 5% flat rate for all relevant creators and no matter the location, no VAT, no bureaucracy regarding the criteria of transactions and availability, has made many are packing the bags for the Buy me a coffee.

For me, I think I always have something innovative in the market because I am a content creator and I want innovations that help me to add to my content and diversify it and several places.

It's always good to have competitors out there, so content creators will be motivated to have bigger challenges with their content. Because if some dominate an area in some platform, some dominate an area in another platform.

Today we have Patreon, Ko-fi, Substack, MailChimp and now Buy Me Coffe. We now need challenging platforms with categories like Medium, Vocal Media, and a bit of News Break. Because News Break is still not exactly a hybrid platform for professional and non-professional paid writers.

Let more platforms and the challenges of growing anywhere as a content creator come. It's one more place to pack in 2021.
