Users will be able to share voice messages on their status thanks to several new features being rolled out by Meta-owned WhatsApp. The ring will be visible around profile pictures in the Chat list and other locations once it has been shared. The details were released by WhatsApp via its official Twitter account.

“We've added some exciting updates to the status feature. Tell it how it is, your way, with voice status. Now you can effortlessly record and share voice messages on your status," WhatsApp tweeted.

Despite having an extensive and diverse user base, WhatsApp's feature set often falls short of expectations. In that regard, rival applications like Signal and Telegram have long surpassed the Meta-owned program. However, WhatsApp is now taking things up and introducing several new capabilities to the status section.

Sharing information with friends and close acquaintances via status on WhatsApp is a common practice. Every status, which may include images, videos, GIFs, text, and more, vanishes after 24 hours. Your WhatsApp status is protected by end-to-end encryption, just like your private chats and phone calls, allowing you to transmit information safely and securely.

More choices will be added to WhatsApp's status section, which is frequently used to share brief updates with friends and close contacts, the firm said in a blog post. These status updates can include a range of media, such as images, videos, animated GIFs, and more, and they are available 24 hours a. The new features you can anticipate are listed here in brief:

*Private Audience Selector: Since not every status update you publish will be suitable for all of your contacts all of the time, WhatsApp now can alter your privacy settings for each status, allowing you to control who sees each updated version of the status that you post. The most recent audience you chose will be kept in memory and utilized as the default for your subsequent status update.

*Status Reactions: By swiping up and choosing one of the eight available emojis from the menu that appears, you may now instantly reply to any status. Naturally, you may still reply to a status update with a text message, voice message, sticker, or any other number of ways. Since the release of Reactions a year ago, status reactions have been one of the most requested features.

*Status Profile Rings for New Updates: A ring will display around your profile image of contact when they update their status, according to the status profile ring feature. This will be shown in the chat lists, the group participant lists, and the contact information, making it simpler to never again miss a friend's or relative's status update.

*Link previews on Status: Just like when you send a message, you will now automatically see a visual preview of the message or link's content when you send it or post it on your status. Visual previews not only make your status updates look better but also give your contacts a better idea of the link's content before they decide to click on it.

*Audio Status: Soon, up to 30-second-long voice messages that you record and broadcast on WhatsApp status will be possible. Sending more intimate updates is possible using voice status, which is especially helpful if speaking rather than typing is how you prefer to communicate.

Users across the globe have already started receiving these updates, and everyone will have access to them in the upcoming weeks. Your WhatsApp status is protected by end-to-end encryption as per usual, precisely like your private chats and calls, allowing you to share in private without risking your security. Users throughout the world have already begun receiving these upgrades, and everyone will have access to them in the upcoming weeks.
