Welcome to the Chaos:
An Author’s Journey into the Paranormal

As a writer, I’ve had this vast imagination to pull from to develop vast worlds and fanciful characters to build wonderful stories and now that I have finally been able to delve into a fascination of mine that has been around since childhood I can share it through this avenue. You the reader are probably wondering what new “hobby” I am referring to? I don’t know if I would really call it a hobby, an obsession? An integral part of my life that has always been there?
You probably want me to cut out on the suspense already and spill the beans so to speak. It’s a craze that is growing and covered by many influencers and has a much larger community than you really think.
The paranormal world has such a niche that is so large and broad that it can be taken to many different levels. Supernatural, Scientific, Psychological; a place where the term Paranormal Researcher is the norm. I personally don’t care to call the act of investigating, “Ghost Hunting,” but to say we're investigating, we're trying to catch a glimpse into the other world of things so to speak. Yes, you have the Youtubers out there that are overly dramatic and truly don’t show any actual evidence of activity at the locations they visit, and they like to throw the words “Demonic” and “Devil” around a lot. Truly there are genuine paranormal teams like the one I am a part of that do the research on the property, land and so on, that are respectful and sit patiently waiting to catch activity.
You’re probably wondering why I am so into this world or maybe you’re not, but I will tell you anyway. My first true paranormal experience came when I was ten years of age a year or so after my grandmother passed away. I had already suffered years of night terrors and had been able to feel things I couldn’t really explain in my grandparents' home. My parents had a separate garage or “Shop” as we called it built in the backyard separate from our house for my father to run a motorcycle repair shop out of. At the time of my first experience my father hadn’t been using the shop for business but it housed all of his tools and everything he used for his trade in mechanics. The shop also had a television where my dad would spend much of his evening time and I had been spending my afternoons after school watching tv out in the shop so I wouldn’t have to fight with my niece on what to watch after school. My mother worked nights and slept during the day, so I loved being out in my dad’s shop as it provided quiet time for me and privacy. Being an introvert it was easy for me to just spend time alone but even more in a space I found comforting like a space like my dad’s shop where I grew up hanging around while my dad worked. During a commercial break I decided I had to use the bathroom and I started to cross through the backyard to the connected garage to go inside when I had suddenly stopped to find my grandmother dressed in the full blue dress she was buried in. I could see her like I see you and me every day, I could see the details of her make up perfectly on her face and how perfectly made up her hair was. She stood before me and smiled while I stood still trying to figure out what I was seeing, it was then she crossed my path and went through the privacy fence. I was obviously frightened by what I had just experienced at that age and like most kids would do I ran and woke my mother up sharing with her that I had just been visited by her mother who had been gone for some time. It was then she shared with me that many family members had been having dreams where she had been visiting them.
It was since then I had continued to have night terrors and experience things with intuition and feel the spirits that were in my grandparents house. Now that I am an adult I speak with my mother about the things I had felt in my grandparents' house since the death of my grandmother, it had been revealed to me what part of the house she had her hospital bed and passed away in. With all the puzzle pieces aligning for me now that I pursue more research in the paranormal and death, I now know that I am on the right path with my abilities reawakened in ways I never experienced before as a child.
From here on I will share my experiences and stories as a paranormal investigator and a clairsentient empath as well as a spirit keeper.
Welcome to my chaos.
