Entrepreneurship fatigue is not something new. The truth is that it can be very stressful and overwhelming to try to start a business and grow it into something successful. It all depends on you. You are going to be the reason it does well or the reason why it doesn't.

If you are like most new entrepreneurs, you are the only one who does anything and everything for your business. You are the one person who drives your business, and this can really wear a person down.

Even worse, most business owners struggle with their personal life. They work too much, just trying to get their business going. Once it is off and running, the work doesn't stop. Because of that, most don't take the time to spend with their families and friends.

They also don't always take the time to take care of themselves. They work, work, and then work some more. They sacrifice sleep, exercise, and just enjoying life in order to make their business succeed.

However, it shouldn't be this way. You have to take this into your own hands. You need to make time for your business and time for yourself. If not, you will quickly get overwhelmed and burnt out.

Here are some ways to manage “entrepreneurship fatigue” as you work hard to grow your business.

Work on your time management skills.

Though many people think that time management means having a fully booked schedule so that you know that you can get everything done that needs to be done (and on time), it is more than that.

It is also about learning how much you can actually do in a day, so you don't find your days too full that you can't get everything done when it needs to be done. There are going to be times when you have to turn something away because you simply can't fit it into your busy schedule. It is not worth working late, just to please someone.

Learn to say no.

Once you decide what you can and can’t do in a day, you might find yourself having to turn away business. Though this can be really scary for you as a business owner, the truth is that it can be good for it too!

Plus, you don't always have to turn away projects. You can simply put them in at a later date. Maybe you can't get something done this week, but you may have time to work on it in another two or three weeks.

Then again, if you really don't enjoy the work (and have plenty to keep you busy), you may want to just say no. This can be really freeing (and exciting). Your business is doing well enough that you don't have to take on everything and anything that you can get. You can pick and choose the work that brings you joy.

Spend time with the right people.

If you spend time with people who are negative and always complaining, you will find yourself doing the same thing. If you spend time with other people who are positive, you will find yourself feeling better about your life. For this reason, you may want to cut out some of the negative ones and focus on those that are more positive. This will really make your life happier.

Take time for your family.

Most small business owners spend hours working to support their family, yet they don't take the time to actually enjoy them. You deserve to find time to spend with those that you love. Take evenings and weekends off. If your prime business is during those times, can you take an afternoon off to surprise your family with a fun lunch out!

Take time for yourself.

The same should be said for yourself. You need to find ways to take care of yourself, whether you enjoy running or walking around the block. Do you enjoy taking hot baths to help you relax? What about sitting down and reading the book that you have been trying to get through for the last few months? This will help you come back to your business refreshed.

It can be really hard when you own a small business. You may feel torn between that and spending time with your family. You need to figure out how much you can accomplish in a day so that you don't over schedule yourself. Not only that, but you also may want to pick and choose the work that you enjoy. You also need to choose who you spend time with. Spend time with those that you enjoy, such as your family. Avoid those that make you feel bad.
