Movie Review - Vaathi

Cast: Dhanush, Samuthirakani, Samyukta, Ken Karunas Music: GV Prakash Direction: Venky Atluri

Risks faced by government schools due to privatization. Through that Venki and Dhanush have tried to tell how education has become a business. But unfortunately, their efforts stopped short of trying. How is the Vaathi? There have already been films in Tamil based on the consequences of education becoming a business. But now that everything has become privatized, it is acceptable to give such a picture. But by then Venky could not accept what he had done.

Dhanush as the conductor Balamurugan. He is engaged in acting as usual. However, it seems that Dhanush, who has casually mixed acting in Asuran and Tiruchirambalam, is having a little difficulty in this. Because Dhanush is an effortless actor. But it is obvious that he has taken effort in this. Similarly, although Dhanush's youth is a plus, it was a bit too much in this film. Because there was confusion whether he was a student or a doctor. Director Vathi Balamurugan could have changed the costume a bit to solve the confusion. There may be devotion to school, but devotion to the extent of walking around in uniform all the time was a little frightening. Venky sir is this fair? It is a healthy thing for directors coming from Telugu to direct films in Tamil. But forgetting that we are making a film in Tamil and forcing a junior artist from the location to hit the Telugu vada is the height of absurdity.

The film is set in the 90s. But the director has failed to capture that period. Also, the favorite location for shooting is the Tamil Nadu - Andhra border. The director seems to have applied the bilingual film to the location as well. (Enna Oru Dedication) Because of this, Tamil fans are sure to squirm in the theater unable to connect with the story and the place where the story takes place. In particular, he says to Vathy, 'This is the trend today' at a place where Tirupati verse is spoken. The word trend has been trending for the last 10 years. But only the Vaati director seems to know the year 1999. Similarly, in one scene, I don't understand why the Tamil actor should be shown as a dummy when he is introduced.

What things attract geese?

If you ask whether the film is positive or not, it is. In a scene about caste.. Director Venky Atluri has drawn attention. Separate study to overcome caste disparity among students; And then the twist is also impressive. And without writing any verse for the purpose of propaganda about caste abolition; Mild and yet bold can be applauded for making the Vaathi do so. Likewise, Dhanush's decision to take to the students after the exam results is impressive.

Vathi Balamurugan applauds the decision to use one's ego to harm one's own self rather than shrinking the future of others by getting caught up in emotion and telling him to grow (for good) and improve the future of others. When will Abdul Kalama release the pass?

Dhanush tells a motivational story at one point in the film. Well, there is a story within the dragging story which is interesting if you sit up straight, starting with Rameswaram and ending with Abdul Kalam, the back that took off immediately landed. Abdul Kalam is a motivational man. How long will you use him for that? No one else available? Release Abdul Kalama soon, the lesson taught by Dhanush in Bass theater is taken by the Vaathi who is chased out of town for more than one stage. The director touches Arunachalam as a pickle. But the question arises as to how the lesson conducted inside the theater can remain unknown to anyone outside for many days. Seeing Dhanush wearing a disguise, he felt a sense of pity. Alas Vathyar Balamurugan does not feel sorry for this situation, it is a feeling of pity for our Dhanushka. Director Venki Atluri has cast Dhanush as the song. In short, Vathi Dhanush has learned a lesson that any director who comes in the name of 'message' should be careful.

Does the heroine matter? Tamil cinema directors have just returned to the healthy path of directing films with heroines at the center. But there is certainly a fear that the likes of Vamsi and Venki Atluri are trying to turn heroines into talking heads again. Because Samyukta's character should have been brought out more in this film. But I don't know what stopped the director. People come and go.

What is the comfort of the goose? GV Prakash is undoubtedly the only consolation in Vaathi. Be it the songs or the background music, the man has played the game. Va vathi song and Batu Thala Ravana song is Sema Rakam. Especially the background music. GV Prakash has composed the music for each scene, and the fight scene in the second half has a completely different background score.

It is definitely a good thing that I thought of telling the story of selling the business of education for the sake of business. But it is unnecessary to mix it with commercials. Dhanush and Venki Atluri must have seen Vagai Suda Vaa among the films about education awareness. If you haven't seen it yet, you should. That film also belongs to this genre. However, the reason why the film won the National Award and won the hearts of the people was; It connected with our soil and spoke realistically about the pains of the people. Vaathi is not like that. This could have been presented online as a baka social film without commercials. But in the industry, they have developed this online for business with a star named Dhanush.

In short, the good intention of preventing education from becoming a business and bringing awareness to people has been spoiled for business and sold in the name of Vaathi...!
