Diaz struggled in the shortened 2020 season, posting a 1-1 record with a 1.75 ERA and six saves in 26 appearances. However, he bounced back in 2021, finishing the season with a 7-4 record, a 2.27 ERA, and 36 saves in 67 appearances. He was once again named an All-Star and helped lead the Mets to a strong start to the season.

Pitching Style :

Diaz is known for his high-velocity fastball, which can reach speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. He also has a devastating slider that he uses as his primary secondary pitch.
