When you start a business reselling products on various platforms, you are full of enthusiasm and very easily you can make a mistake or ignore certain details that will reduce your profit.
In the resale business, the goal must be as low costs as possible with a higher profit per product and of course as many sales as possible.
The following 5 mistakes can greatly benefit you.
1. I sell products that have too little profit margin
To cover the commission of the platform and stay with a decent profit, you need to source products that have a good profit margin.
This should preferably be 30%.
That’s why I warn you that before you start collaborating, look for profitable products.
2. It is associated with other offers in the platform
The very lazy do not create their offers and want to take advantage of the work of other partners on the platform.
These tactics lead to certain price battles, which do not benefit anyone except the eMAG platform, of course.
3. The offers do not have a professional presentation
I noticed that some partners present their offers with only one picture and a few words about the product.
To benefit from a good conversion you must have at least 5 secondary pictures, a description as detailed as possible, and at least one picture in the description.
4. They are not indexed in the platform
Their offers are not visible. You need to complete the title in as much detail as possible and add as many keywords as possible.
Don’t forget the features — complete them all if possible for maximum visibility.
5. Delivery fee is too high
Some partners have very high delivery fees. Try not to exceed 5$, customers will always run away from high delivery fees.
Follow the 5 simple steps above and you will notice improvements in profit at the end of the month.
6. You don't put a price on advertising
It is said that "advertising is the soul of commerce". To better understand what I want to say, please imagine the following scenarios:
1. you pass through the market and around you is the silence of a cemetery, everyone takes care of the products on the presentation table, arranges them, wipes them, etc., but does not say anything
2. you pass through the market and around you there is a commotion like at a football match, everyone is shouting, calling you to see, to try, to buy, to take into account the offers that are made for you that day, etc.
Having these two scenarios before me, I ask you: in which of them do you think the most sales will be made?
I think it's easy to answer.
If you have a product, you must get involved in making it known, first to your friends, then to your friend's friends, then to everyone.
This aspect can be expensive, but if it is well adjusted between sales and promotion, you can find yourself with a nice profit. If you don't get involved, you won't be successful.
7. You have not chosen a correct niche
Many products are sold on the market, but not all in the same quantity, some more and others less. Here we have to think about the principle of demand and supply. We must always focus on what is required in the market, not only what we would like to sell in the market.
Before deciding to sell something, the market must be studied in this sense. Currently, many tools can help us in this regard. We still have to choose something that suits us, with what we like, but with what is sold from what we like.
It is not a solution to choose products that sell exceptionally well, but with which we have no connection, which is outside our sphere of knowledge or daily interest. We will fail.
Conclusion
To be successful in what we do, we must get involved, learn, try, and continuously improve our security.
