Me: Well there are many opportunities out there that you can do. Some are scams but there are many that are legitimate. Let me tell you about 10 different ways that you can choose from.
When choosing to become an entrepreneur you will want to put a lot of hard work to get it to where you want it to be.
The first thing you need to think about it, what are your goals? Maybe the biggest one is to quit your day job.
My favorite definition of JOB: Just over broke!
In my experience I found this to actually be true. Life has not been easy for me. But I haven’t given up. I will keep fighting until I get to where I want to be in life. I will practice patience.
So, take out a notebook and on the first-page start listing out your goals. You will want to be realistic about them.
For instance, some of your goals could be:
- Earn an extra $500 per month.
- Create my own website.
- Build a list of 1000 people.
- Build my income to $3,000 per month.
- Quit my day job.
- Travel around the world.
As your business grows and you complete your goals you will want to update and add new ones occasionally.
Next, you will have to read through the list of online businesses in this article and see which one you would like to do.
Once you have made a decision on what you would like to do you need to begin your learning. How much learning will you need to do? This will depend on how much you know about that business.
You will want to Google your business. You need to read blogs and ebooks. Watch all the YouTube videos you can find and take online courses. Talk to people in the business.
The most important thing you need to do is follow any and all actionable steps. If you follow those steps you will achieve your goals.
Just remember this, your goals won’t happen overnight. It might take several months to begin to make money.
Don’t give up after a few days or weeks. You need to keep at it. If you do all your hard work will pay off.
Also, when you’re starting out, just start with one type of business. Don’t go from one another to another. You can’t be successful at any one thing if you’re too busy trying to do everything at once.
If after you have become successful at one online business opportunity, go ahead and do something else to create another income stream.
Now let’s talk about 10 different options to choose from. Which one you think will be interesting to learn more about and do?
1. Affiliate Marketing
This is where you sign up to be an affiliate and market other business's products or services. You recommend someone to buy the product or service and you get a Commission.
2. Freelance Writing
You write blog posts, white papers, reviews, and other forms of writing for other businesses for money. There are websites that you can sign up as a freelance writer. Upwork, Fiverr, and Elance are just a few of them.
3. Selling Online Courses
Do you have knowledge of something that you could teach someone else? Create an online course. Then market it to people. There are many platforms out there that you can use to create your online course. Skill share and Udemy are just a couple you could check out.
4. Blogging
Blogging and affiliate marketing go hand and hand sometimes. You can blog about different services and products. You can even put ads on your site like Ad Sense. But when being a blogger, you need to produce constant content. If you don’t, no one is going to want to read your blog.
5. E-Commerce Store
There are places like Shopify where you can create your online e-commerce store. You have products for sale on your site. The customer places their order and pays for it. Then you can either drop ship the order or you ship in yourself. To do this you will want to choose a niche that you could sell in.
6. Self Published Author
You can write novels or you can write nonfiction books. I like to write nonfiction myself. I find it easier to write than a novel. When choosing what to write you might do well to choose what you’re passionate about. Write about what you love to read about. Then you can go to draft2digital or Amazon’s KDP to go through the publishing process. Self-publishing is free to do. Just remember though you will have to do your own marketing.
7. Consulting Business

consultants provide expert opinions, analysis, and recommendations to organizations or individuals, based on their own expertise. They’re essentially fixers, serving as objective troubleshooters, and providing strategies to prevent problems and improve performance.
8. Content Marketing
Content marketing is where businesses higher you to write content for their website, blogs, emails, landing pages, and other promotional avenues to market their products and services. For this you not only have to be good at writing but you have to be good at selling. You want your content to entice potential customers to buy the product or service.
9. You Tuber
If you love to watch videos on YouTube all the time and think:
Gee I could do that. It looks like fun.
Then go for it. Learn everything you can about how to make your videos and how to edit them. Then decide on what kind of videos you want to create.

Whatever type of content you want to create start making your videos. Set up a regular schedule on how often you post your videos. Then start marketing them.
The main goal you need to accomplish before you can begin to make money is to gain a large following. The bigger the following the more money you can make.
The way to monetize your YouTube channel can be done in several ways:
- Sell merchandise related to your channel's niche.
- Use affiliate products and services related to your niche.
- Become a YouTube partner and make money through the adds.
- Let your fans support your channel.
There may be other ways but you get the idea. The idea is to eventually use several of these different ways to earn money. You don’t want to rely on just one type of income stream.
10. Kindle Publishing
Maybe you're not a writer but this is still something you can do. You can higher ghostwriters to write short 25 to 40-page ebooks and publish them through Amazon’s KDP platform as your own, or you can start a publishing company publishing other people’s books.
Just don’t forget you will need to market the books that you publish. Otherwise, they won’t sell.
If you want to know more about this one you can look up Anik Signal (lurn nation), Tye Cohen, or Steffen James (project life mastery) they have videos, podcasts, and courses on how to go about doing this and make a damn good income at it.
Conclusion:
So now that I have given you a lot to think about, go out and learn more about one of these options and try it out.
Don’t just try it for a couple of weeks and expect drastic successful results. And don’t give up if nothing happens in those first few weeks.
Starting a successful online business will take a lot of time and work before you start seeing results. Keep at it. It can take at least several months or a year before you get in a good place with it.
When you do start succeeding at it and am able to decrease your time working it, try one of the other opportunities and get it going.
This is how you can end up making money from different income streams. As the saying goes:
Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket!
So go for it and good luck.
