This video discusses the why and how of setting up a Facebook Business Account and Group for each line of business you have. In addition, I go over a step-by-step tutorial in-screen capture video outlining the process of creating these pages. Below, I talk about the benefits of setting up a Facebook Business Page and linking a Group to this page.

Benefits to setting up a Facebook Business Page are Numerous.

It is free. It has a one out of seven or two out of seven people-reach globally (one billion users daily and two billion users monthly). You can get socially engaged with your customers. You can target ideal customers. You can easily build a brand. Your potential reach demographically and geographically is one of the best. Newer generations are looking specifically for a Social Media Business presence, sometimes even more than websites.

If you're interested in doing ads on Facebook, even low-cost ads, the ability to narrow down your targeted leads and truly find ideal customers that are interested in your product or service is really a great feature. I also show you free ways to find targeted leads on various platforms on my YouTube channel, Social Media Marketing Secrets.

While consumers don't necessarily use Facebook to find products and services, they do use it to ask opinions, get reviews, and get suggestions. Having a page that people can link back to in a suggestion is very helpful.

The caution about using a Facebook Business Page and Group is that you must keep posting on the page and group to keep engagement up. A page produced with nothing on it is worse than having no page. It gives the impression that you're not really interested in engaging on this platform.

There are plenty of ways to keep content flowing on your page. You can create it, you can curate it, you can do videos, etc. What is your favorite way to producing content on your social media platforms?

Depending on your ideal customer demographic, Facebook may be a necessary platform that you'll need to start using. Many of the younger generations, look for social media presence, especially on Facebook and Instagram, before they even look at websites.

Do you know you ideal customer and where you stand in your niche? These are important factors to determine before making the jump into social media marketing. I'll cover these topics in a future post.

Linking a Group for added engagement opportunities is super easy too.

The benefits to having both of these set up immediately is joined growth efforts. When someone likes your business page, you can automatically invite them to your free group.

The benefits to a free group are numerous, starting with brand building and awareness, and ending with honest engagement that really makes an impact with people.

You can create daily engagement posts on both your business page and your group page, giving greater in-depth information in the group nd creating a logical progression between topic discussions.

One great idea is to post an engagement post on the business page and announcing a livestream that you'll be doing in the group, inviting people to attend the livestream so they can ask real time questions.

The point is, using both the business page and the group page together can create a great experience for your audience, when done right. Think of the group page as a place to create more VIP content and the business page to keep your audience informed of trends and updates.

For example, on my author page I make announcements, engage with readers, share industry news, and even do live videos. On my group page, I go deeper, often do special giveaways only to the group members, etc., giving the fans motivation to join the group (kind of like the freebie you giveaway for subscriber in your newsletter).
