The Self-Taught Entrepreneur Guide

So, you have the self-made mentality?

Congrats to you!

It is not an easy task to take on, it can get rough.

But you are here, and I know you are ready!

You have the beast in you!

Because only the beast can conquer this path!

We all have it in us… We just need to tap into our inner beast, our inner greatness and always push forward!

STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS:

PART 1

RESEARCH

Make sure you are researching the type of business you want to get into, I mean do A LOT of research!

The last thing you want to do is jump into something, put your hard-earned money, sometimes all your money into a project you have no absolute knowledge of.

YOU WANT TO GROW YOUR MONEY; NOT THROW IT AWAY!

WHERE TO BEGIN:

You want to be 100% sure you KNOW what business you are getting into and if it is the right fit for you.

Because your business is going to require

PASSION AND CONSISTENCY!

SO! If you are looking to start your business ‘just because’, you see everyone else is doing it’ OR you have the

“I just want to get rich overnight” mentality, I suggest you just fall back now and come back when you are SERIOUS!

There will be times where you want to give up, you made a few mistakes and now you feel discouraged, or you do not have a supportive group of people around you, money is tight,

TRUST ME I UNDERSTAND.

THERE WILL BE OBSTACLES, HOWEVER IF THIS BUSINESS IS IN YOU... YOU LIVE FOR THE ULTIMATE CHANGE, YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES AND ENVISION THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF, YOU CAN FEEL IT, SMELL IT, TASTE IT…

YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE…. BELIEVE ME….

YOU WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN!

*****

So, YOU NOW KNOW THE BUSINESS LANE THAT IS MEANT FOR YOU.

BUT IF YOU DON’T… DON’T WORRY, AND DEFINETLY DON’T GIVE UP, THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY… HEAD UP, FACE FORWARD!

We are constantly evolving, growing, learning, keeping up with current events or the latest beauty and fashion trends…

We all have a unique personality that is tied into our day to day lives.

Maybe you are a creator, maybe you are a service provider, maybe you are a little bit of both.

The more you know and understand yourself, your abilities, your skills… the closer you are getting.

What do you spend majority of your free time doing?

Is it enjoying time with family and friends, studying I.T or the FOREX & TRADE markets, outside activities, working out, staying fit, eating healthy, art, music, podcast, are you the one that always knows the celebrity gossip, you name it!

All this ties up into who we are and who we are is an especially important factor in what business we jump into.

Maybe you admire someone that is already successful in what you are interested in. Maybe you are meant to be in the spotlight.

Those are all key points that can get you a step closer to knowing what your entrepreneurial path is… So please remember, this is not an overnight task, it literally took me close to 10 years to sit here and give you advice.

I am not saying that it may take you 10 years, however for myself I had to learn and build from the ground up, with no college degree and no outside support.

Fortunately, for all that read this guidebook, you will have the steps that lead you closer towards making your dreams a reality, without having to make as many mistakes as I and so many before us have made starting off as entrepreneurs, although making mistakes is a must in the world of entrepreneurism, having a map is golden!

WHAT I WANT YOU TO DO:

1. BUY A NOTEBOOK OR JOURNAL, MAKE IT SACRED!

2. WRITE DOWN YOUR STRENGHTS

3. WRITE DOWN YOUR HOBBIES

4. WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS

5. WRITE DOWN YOUR INTREST

Here are some examples from my personal journal:

MY STRENGTHS

1. I am Motivated- I keep myself motivated by constantly reading new material or watching material that helps me learn more about all that I am interested in.

2. I am Positive- Even when things seem to be going wrong, I do not allow it to take me off course, I understand that not every day will be a good day and I continue to move forward despite the circumstance.

3. I am disciplined- I wake up early to work out and use that time to research or work on my endeavors.

4. I am Organized- I keep my life organized, I have a schedule and use my time wisely. Each day I know what I will spend my time on.

5. I am Devoted- I am devoted to my vision, my team and family.

MY HOBBIES:

My hobbies consist of shopping, reading, meditating, and writing.

MY GOALS:

My goal is to motivate and teach millions of people on how to become the best versions of themselves through positive and uplifting practices.

My goal is to leave a legacy to my family, create jobs for thousands of people, and leave a positive impact to all those that I have been able to reach.

MY INTREST:

My interest consists of personal development, managing money, strategizing, combining our spiritual evolution to our material evolution.

*******

As you can see my strengths, hobbies, goals, and interest tie into who I am as an entrepreneur.

If you are feeling stuck, and do not know what to write, take a deep breath, allow yourself to analyze your present moment. As you are sitting with your journal, pen in hand, what is surrounding you, are you home, at work, in a coffee shop? Is there music in the background, what are you listening to? Write down all that you see around you, take your time and your answers will flow, after all it is you who is writing of you.

Good luck!

********

BEFORE WE LEAP, LETS DIVE…

I want to focus on the importance of getting to know yourself better.

How can you understand who you are, what you have lost in in your journey, what can you get back, recreate, rebuild within you? In order to master your life, in order to have the ultimate confidence to bet on yourself, you must break down all aspects of yourself, even the uncomfortable parts we tend to hide away.

I decided to write this entrepreneur guidebook, not only to teach step by step what you must do, to start a business, but how to become an independent thinker, a confident individual and entrepreneur.

It is so important to think independently, that way it becomes easier to block the outside noise, the naysayers, or even the little voice in your head that keeps you in fear.

We get so consumed in the world, our day-to-day life can drown us in negativity, believing things about ourselves that is not necessarily true.

What YOU know to be possible for you is based on what you put YOUR focus on.

But let us face it, it is easier said than done.

There are so many scenarios that I am sure we can relate to at some point in our lives, where we believe the outside noise or the pessimistic thoughts to be more “realistic” than our dreams.

So, we shut out… we choose to neglect the idea of reaching our highest self, and we settle into “comfort”.

A comfort that keeps us at a level we know damn well we are not comfortable in.

I want to ask you this, are the changes that you need to make worth getting out of your stagnation?

A popular word used a lot today is manifestation, one that I am remarkably familiar with and use every day whether knowingly or unknowingly. However, what I am teaching you is not the manifestation you see too often on social media, this is not a wish upon a star manifestation guide.

What I am sharing with you is the truth of the reality that you must work hard to become what you want to manifest.

Each day must be used wisely, whether you have the entire 24 hours to dedicate to your vision or 10 to 20 minutes a day, if you are anything like me, using your only free time may be while you are in the shower, or driving from A to B.

Are you feeding your mind with the knowledge, the proper thoughts that can help push you forward?

Are you feeding your mind, your body, your soul with the nutrients that will have you ready to manifest the life, the business you want and when the manifestation occurs, will you be able to obtain it?

Before building your business, is your mind and your character in alignment?

Because if not, manifesting your life as an entrepreneur is still possible, but the truth is without the discipline, your business will be short lived.

You must love, respect and honor the new path you are entering in order to reap the benefits not for a short while but for it to be of substance and longevity.

STEPS TO STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS

Part 2:

The Legalities of starting a business.

You are pumped your confident you know exactly what you want to invest your time and money into, you are ready to get the ball rolling.

1. You must create an LLC. Or Corporation

LLC. Stands for Limited Liability Company.

An LLC. Can protect you from personal liabilities, for example being sued or if your company declares bankruptcy. Your personal assets will not be at risk, like your car or home. An LLC. Allows you to combine your business income with your personal income when it is time to file your taxes. However, keep in mind that there is a ‘Pay self’ employment tax.

I suggest that you download the app KEEPER TAX

Once you begin, the keeper tax app is extremely helpful for entrepreneurs it is a simple organization tool that separates your personal and business expenses when it is time to file those taxes!

CORPORATION (C Corp): A company that separates entity from its owner or owners legally. C Corp offers a tremendous level of personal protection from liabilities that come out of all business structures. Corporations can be complicated to form and much more expensive, however, it is worth it, if this is the choice you believe is right for you. Corporations file income tax separately on their profits, so it is something to think thoroughly about.

2: GIVE YOUR BUSINESS A NAME!

Find your unique name that reflects on your business, and then register your business name.

Below are four ways to register, all four options serve for different purposes. Make sure you know exactly which registry fits best for your business!

1. A Domain name- Will Claim your business’s web address.

2. A Trademark: Legally will protect your business at a federal level. (IMPORTANT)

3. DBA (Doing business as): This however does not offer any form of legal protection, depending on your business structure and location, it may be required.

4. Entity Name: At a STATE level your business will be legally protected.

3: YOU ARE GOING TO NEED A FEDERAL TAX ID NUMBER

Also known as an Employer Identification number (EIN). If you plan to be an employer, an EIN allows you to legally hire and pay your employees, this number is extremely important because you will need it to file your federal taxes, employer tax returns, operating as a C Corp, using a tax deferred pension plan, applying for business licenses and opening business bank accounts.

Apply for your EIN through the IRS website.

4. YOU WILL NEED TO DETERMINE IF YOU NEED A STATE ID TAX NUMBER

Research your state laws, find out whether your startup needs a State Tax ID Number. If the state you will be operating in collects taxes from businesses, you will most likely need to file for one.

5. OBTAIN BUSINESS PERMITS AND LICENSES

Research requirements at the state and local levels based on where you do business. State level licenses and permits that will be needed will have fees depending on your location and the primary business you are in. Depending on the industry your business is in

Specific licenses will be required. A good starting point in research go to is SBA.COM (Small Business Administration)

In their search engine enter Common Federal Business Licenses.

6. OPEN A BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT

It’s always wise to separate your personal and business finances before you start collecting payments from customers or clients.

The information you will need to provide to the bank of your choice in order to open an business account are down below.

1. Your Employer Identification Number or (in case of sole proprietorship provide your Social Security Number.)

2. The formation documents for your business.

3. Your business license.

4. Ownership agreement documents

7.CONSULT THE PROFESSIONALS

It is a good idea to consult with a professional for advice. To ensure that you have covered all your legal responsibilities as a new business. There are many lawyers and accountants willing to provide free consultation, its important that you are covered in a legal and financial standpoint.

**********************

I know that the legalities can seem overwhelming, you are inspired and want to rush in to begin, however all decision made for your business must be made with a logical point of view. This is not a rushed process. Take your time to figure out when and what you are going to tackle step by step.

Do everything correctly the first time you will not have to take any steps backwards due to mistakes based on rushed behavior.

This is an especially important step to take in one’s life, you are betting on yourself to change your life, maybe to change the life of others, there will come a point where you will no longer need your 9-5 to pay your bills or maintain your lifestyle. You will do what you love and that gives off a sense of freedom, to get up everyday and do what you have always wanted to do or what you are meant to do. Either way it is a decision that is worth it, and all the challenges that may come will build stronger character and passion for your purpose.

I hope you find the information that I provided to be useful, I understand how lost one can feel stepping into a new path, not knowing where to begin or what steps to take, sometimes deciding to go another direction in life can leave one feeling lonely, I hope to have provided some insight that has helped myself.

I wish you all the best and much success on your new journey!!!
