World's Biggest Clock Hides a Secret! The Makkah Royal Clock Tower is one of the most iconic and awe inspiring structures in the world. Standing tall in the heart of Makkah Saudi Arabia it is not just a magnificent architectural marvel but also holds deep cultural religious and historical significance. With its massive clock face it is recognized as the largest clock in the world surpassing even the famous Big Ben in London. However beyond its grandeur and sheer size the Makkah Royal Clock Tower hides a fascinating secret that many people are unaware of. Many people believe that the clock tower is designed to serve as a global reference point for Islamic time challenging the dominance of the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) system. It is strategically located in Makkah the holiest city in Islam, and serves as a reminder of the city’s central role in the faith of nearly two billion Muslims worldwide. The idea of using Makkah time instead of GMT has been a subject of discussion among scholars and the clock tower represents a symbolic step towards this vision.
