Introduction This is an article I originally published on my Seven Days In blog in August 2018 about passwords and security. This week Apple TV asked by to sign in on my TV and went along asking for codes sent to my phone and email, then asked me for my birthday, said my details were wrong and gave me no other option to progress. Eventually, after two days of messing about, it let me on again. It doesn't cost me anything, but it is annoying as I am watching "Severance", "Your Friends And Neighbours" and "Bad Sisters".

With the backdrop of the second world wars, the British government realized that they needed to leave India. During this time, in 1947, the British declared the date for India's independence. However, there was a major issue: the conflict between Hindu and Muslim populations in India. **Independence and Partition:** On August 15, 1947, India was divided into two countries - India and Pakistan. This partition came with a painful separation. Muslim-majority areas were designated as Pakistan, while territories with Hindu majorities became India. **Challenges for the New Nations:** During this partition, many faced violence and displacement. Approximately 14 million people had to migrate, and during this migration, thousands lost their lives; it was a horrific and painful chapter. **In Conclusion:** Both Pakistan and India gained independence, but their paths were not easy. The partition led to growing animosity and tension between the two nations.
