I Let AI Run My Life For A Week
No decisions. No second-guessing. Just me, doing whatever the machine told me to do. It started as a joke. I was scrolling through my notes app one night, looking at a to-do list I hadn't touched in three days, and I thought — what if I just stopped deciding things for myself? 5 Websites That Actually Pay Writers Well in 2026 (I Checked Every Payout Myself)
I spent an embarrassing number of hours this month doing something most writers never bother to do: I actually went and checked. Not "someone on Reddit said," not "a 2022 blog post claimed" — I dug into current contributor guidelines, payment pages, and traffic data for five sites that regularly get recommended to writers looking to earn something real from their words. Baypointe: A Community By the Reservoir
Writer’s Comment: Reflections on a Freelance Project (and Finding the Original Copies) More than a decade ago, I was hired by a site to create mini-blurbs about numerous communities. It was for a real estate project and was meant to highlight a community within a metropolitan area. In many cases, these were either towns or districts within a suburban city. In some cases, they were merely a collection of residential streets.
