Kumana National Park in Sri Lanka
Unquestionably, the Kumana National Park is an ornithologist's paradise. It is one of the best bird sanctuaries in the nation and is located on the southeast coast of the country, 391 kilometres from Colombo. Kumana and Yala National Park are adjacent. Yala East National Park was once known as Kumana until it adopted its current name on September 5, 2006. The largest bird refuge in Sri Lanka is the reputed Kumana Wildlife Sanctuary. The Kudumbigala sanctuary serves as the park's entry, and it is reachable through Beragala and Koslanda as well as the Uduwalawe - Tanamalvilla road.

Cast Aside
There was a time not so long ago when my motto was, “a book started is a book finished.” Even though as an English teacher, I always tell my students, “if you start a book and don’t like it, don’t waste your time. Return the book to the library and try something new.”
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
Whenever I start a new book, I hand up a little sign at the front of my room broadcasting to my students what it is I am reading. It’s right by our due date calendar, so kids see it as they come and go. As soon as I put up my sign for The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, I had 2 or 3 kids come to me and tell me how much they loved the book.
How to start worldbuilding?
World building can be overwhelming in the beginning and it can be difficult to find a place to start. You are looking to create the image in your mind but you need to make sure it has some realistic qualities. By realistic, I mean that you can give them context even if it's outlandish.

For the most part, I am reading purely for pleasure; and I find I want to explore time periods. One of those times periods has a lot to do with wondering what the impact of the world around had on my childhood and thus, the woman I’ve grown to be. I was born in 74, I was a young girl in the 80s, turning 18 in the early 90s. That’s a great big time span of incredible change that I’m sure affected who I am and what I believe. One only has to do a search for a timeline that shows the change impacts of those three decades.

Life has been pretty interesting lately. My love and I have gone on a pretty significant life changing journey over the past year and things have been pretty satisfying. A large part of this journey has been dealing with things that were holding us back individually – fears, angers, hurts, all that. You know what I mean, the things that clutter up our lives and keep us from finding a path to the proverbial door #1.
Mirissa Beach in Sri Lanka
A little town called Mirissa may be found in the Southern Province's Matara District on Sri Lanka's southern coast. It is about 4 meters (13 feet) above sea level and around 150 kilometers (93 miles) south of Colombo. One of the most well-liked surfing beaches in Sri Lanka is Mirissa beach. The bay's western edge, close to Weligama beach, produces stronger waves that are ideal for surfing. In Mirissa, between November and March, when the surf is at its peak, is the best time to go surfing. The beach in Mirissa is the ideal location for snorkeling. Near the coast of Mirissa Beach, there are several reefs and rocks where marine life may be spotted. The ideal location for snorkeling is on Mirissa Beach's right side.
Book Review:The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa
Let me start off by saying that I didn’t love The Immortal Rules (TIR). I thought it was entertaining enough to finish, but the second half of that book pretty much sucked and relied on a bunch of played-out tropes. What I did like about TIR was Kanin. I love a dark, mysterious character that doesn’t have to try too hard. I thought everything that had to do with Kanin in book 1 was intriguing. I spent the rest of that book chasing the feelings I got from the first half. My excitement for The Eternity Cure was a continuation of that chase and was based on the fact that I knew Allie was going looking for Kanin. I had hoped that this sequel would have that dark quality of TIR’s first half and in some places, it did, but it was not nearly enough to make up for all the lusterless parts.
Book Review: Written in Red by Anne Bishop
Once again, I hate a book that everyone else wuvs. I don’t get it. I really, really don’t. Judging by the ratings, this book has blown people away. For me, it just blows.
