Starting From the ground

We all have to start somewhere with career or jobs, even hobbies of some sort. So let's say you want to start a business of your own. To start off, we need to brainstorm ideas for a great business. For me I chose to build a Event management business, which means organising, planning, setting up the event, and cleaning up after the event. I have come from the hospitality industry, so using the skills I gained from the hospitality industry. So building on those skills, in the event industry.

Once you work out the idea, you need to turn that idea into reality. You wondering how you can start a business when you, got little money to invest? Well, you need a name for the business, and you need to register the business to make sure that you own the name you come up with. Once you have done that you write a business plan, work out what goals you want to achieve with your business, how you will achieve those business goals, what equipment does you business need? what sort of finance do you need to start your business? I had worked out the goals i wanted to achieve with my business and where I would see myself in 5 years with the business. I had also worked out how I would achieve those goals, within the business. In the event industry, I only really need to hire for the theme of the event, by down the track that may change.

I have built a website and open social media accounts to advertise my business, it is also a low cost for advertising, until you build up your finance in the business. Everything you do in business always do reseach to improve services or products for your customer. Social media advertising is low cost and it builds up your target audience. There are many ways of starting a business from the ground and make enough money to invest towards your business if you need too. Another way of advertising is friendly competitions for your customers getting invovled. Using those little ways to build is what is going to build your brand for the business.

When starting a business, with little money, you dont want to rent a space out at the start until you build your business and earning the right amount of finance. If you have an extra room you could use that has a meeting room, or if you dont want customers walking through your house you could look at portable rooms or even a shed, But do make sure you can afford it. Would create a Youtube channel to start talking about you business is also away of advertising. Attract your audience attention. Best way of finding out what your clients want and need is putting surveys out there. For example of event management, what do you want to achieve from this event? What sort of people do you want to attract for the event? Where do you want the event to be held? What is your budget? Is the event invite only? Even do research on your clients before the meeting so you have an idea of what they want and what they need.

Once you gather the information you need, you can pull together 2 or 3 possible event contracts. You can also ack your clients, about other aspects of the event, Like, do you want entertainment? What type of entertainment? Do think about who your target market is, brides to be, parents, corporate organisation, or young adults. Your starting from the bottom, so you will be working harder on the business.
