Seventeen, the Kpop boy group, clinched the prestigious International Federation of the Phonographic Industry Global Album Award for their 10th EP, "FML," recognized as the top-selling album worldwide in the previous year.

Seventeen celebrates their inaugural IFPI Global Charts Award with this recognition.

Seventeen's ninth studio album, titled 'Flower,' was launched on February 14, 2022, comprising a total of 13 tracks, with the title track named 'Darl+ing.'

Based in London, the IFPI, a nonprofit organization, honors artists whose albums achieve the top spot on the IFPI Global Album Chart.

The chart computes an album's global sales encompassing streaming, downloads, and physical music formats.

The acclaimed album, "FML," which debuted in April 2023, secured the title of the most pre-ordered LP in the history of Kpop.

Additionally, Seventeen's 11th EP, "Seventeenth Heaven," launched in October 2023, achieved an impressive No. 8 position on the IFPI Global Album Chart.

In the previous year, the group achieved a pinnacle in their career by selling over 16 million copies of their albums, namely "FML" and "Seventeenth Heaven."

Lewis Morrison, Director of Global Charts and Certifications at IFPI, remarked on the ongoing global influence of Kpop, acknowledging that S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino consistently push artistic boundaries with their concepts, performances, and talent.

Stray Kids, another prominent Kpop boy group, secured impressive positions on the chart, with their third studio album "5-Star" reaching No. 2 and their eighth EP "Rock-Star" claiming the No. 9 spot.

The group has garnered substantial recognition in the global music scene, notably with their recent release "Rock-Star," which dominated the Billboard 200 chart for four consecutive weeks

The lead track, "Lalalala," from the album "Rock Star" marked a significant milestone for the group, earning them their inaugural entry on Billboard's Hot 100.

Additionally, NCT Dream made a notable career debut on the chart, securing the No. 6 position with their third studio album, "ISTJ."

'Flower' was a commercial success, selling over 2 million copies in South Korea alone.

The album also topped charts in several other countries, including Japan, the United States, and Canada.

Seventeen debuted in 2015 with their debut EP '17 Carat'. The group has since released nine studio albums, two compilation albums, and 28 extended plays.

Seventeen has gained recognition for their intricate and synchronized choreography, coupled with a diverse musical style.

The group's achievements include multiple awards, notably the Mnet Asian Music Award for Best Male Group in both 2016 and 2017.

Seventeen stands as one of the globally acclaimed Kpop groups, boasting a sizable and devoted fan community referred to as Carats.
