Two days of the best weekend i;ve had in a while. Lets get into it.

The NOME12 (typo in title) card recap :

Battle 1: Nunn Nunn vs Danny Myers

Nunn nunn lost the coin toss and had to go first but started off with possibly his strongest round. Good setups and haymakers with decent vocal projection. Danny followed up with a strong round that mirrored Nunn's pretty much and made it a debatable round but i scored it 1-0 Nunn. The last 2 rounds were quite the opposite. Nunn continued with similar delivery and bars that came off slightly monotonous in comparison to the electric performance and tone-versatile delivery that is Danny Myers. After a roomshaking rebuttal in the second and a stronger third full of more opening rebuttals, Danny left the battle victorious by building decison. Nunn showed why he should be on stage and also where he can improve in diverse delivery/performances.

Building winner: Danny Myers 2-1 clear 2nd and 3rd

Bar of the battle : "Morgan Freeman came to show Bruce Almighty that a Black Man is God" (rebuttal)

Battle 2: Real Sikh vs Kshine

Similar to the last battle explanation, this match came down to one side of bars with monotone delivery vs another with an eye and ear catching performance. With respect to a few mic issues, Sikh struggled to get through his rounds with the confident agression needed to match his usually intricate material. Alot of the bars went over the crowds heads while Kshine was able to connect and land every haymaker with crowd interest and participation. After adressing Sikh's significant other directly by singing a Candy Rain song to her, Kshine had successfully stolen the show, The crowd chanted 3-0 and Kshine left with the first clear 30 of the night.

Building winner: Kshine 30

Bar of the battle: "I'm raisin a Menace wit a Baldy- AFENI SHAKUR" -kshine round 2

Battle 3: Geechi Gotti vs Hollow Da Don

Going into this battle, I honestly had no idea who to pick as the winner- being that Geechi has been a little oversaturated as of late and Hollow has been gone for a long while. However what Hollow lacked in recent contributions was recovered on the NOME stage. In what he claims to be a career ending battle move, Hollow took a clear win over Geechi in the first two rounds and delivered the better of the 3 rounds as a whole. Channeling back to vintage Hollow and classic Geechi- we received all aspects of what makes battle rap in this battle- bars, jokes, delivery, performance, personals, gangsta talk, grown man moves, etc. Geechi ironically did have round of the battle with a very street and heartfelt third, but it was too late to recover from the clear edge from Hollow in the first 2.

Building winner: Hollow 2-1 (1st and 2nd)

Bar of the battle: "My partner talk about death so much- he got MOURNING breath" - Geechi round 3

Battle 4: Goodz vs Eazy The Block Captain

After a highly anticipated insult filled battle lead up, Mr. I Talk Different vs Mr. Slick Talk finally hashed out who "Talks" better. Goodz brought vintage braggadocious lyrics and accountant lessons to Eazy's agressive hunger, Talking about how much more money you have than someone is probably best for interviews but did not help for this battle- as Eazy landed the biggest haymaker rebuttal insinuating that he would just rob Goodz instead of being worried about how he makes less. The entire crowd was on Eazy's side by the end of the battle and preferred his more agressive violent approach to Goodz teacher/student theme.

Building winner: ETBC 3-0 edge

Bar of the night : "You know what else attracts money?! NI**A- ROBBERS!" -Eazy

Battle 5: Tay Roc vs T-Top

This battle was probably the biggest upset of the night. In a weirdly unbalanced battle, Tay Roc dominated the stage over a off T-Top. Not his usual self, Top had very little crowd reaction and outdated material mixed with a rushed delivery and 0 performance. Even the angles he used were not effective due to so many dry spots- leaving Roc able to control the crowd with perfectly executed haymakers and clever one liners. The crowd chanted 3-0 for the second night to close out the battle and secure all "Greatest Battler Ever" talk for Tay Roc at the moment.

Building winner: Tayroc 3-0

Bar of the night: "Far as ya Bit&%! I'll send you to VIEW THE BODY! Then "TOP THE NEXT PERSON" - IM ALWAYS TRYNA OUTDO SOMEBODY!" -Roc

Battle 6: UM5 WINNERS JC VS SWAMP (120k battle)

Talk about the pressure battle of the night! In a tournamnet ending season finale battle, long time veteran JC took on newly rising top star Swamp. Swamp surpassed everyone's beliefs making it to the finals past heavy names like Rum Nitty and Geechi Gotti- and had the world on his side as an underdog. That pressure coukd be felt in how heartfelt he rapped and executed 2 of the best rounds of the night in the first and second. Swamp challenged JC's articulate over the head bars with asimpler but very effective series of jabs- adding in performance, props and stage control like we've never seen him display. JC gave the crowd heavy one liners mixed with intricate schemes that left the thinkers in the audience pleased. By the third round it was looking very hard to decipher who or what would win- JC's bars or Swamp's versatile performance. However, in a decision defining moment, Swamp experienced 2 small stumbles/chokes that took away from his cleaner performance and gave JC a advantage to steal the judges performance favor. After executing his round without the flaws of his counterpart, JC was crowned the $120k winner in a 5 judge decision. CONGRATS TO THE LONGTIME VET! And shoutout to the new star of NOME-SWAMP!

Winner : JC 2-1 average consensus

Bars of the battle:

"Who gon save you? One stick will flip ya whole team- like a Foosball table" -swamp

"He'll go from tryna eyeball White- to meetin THE UNDERTAKER"- JC
