2020 has seen so many fundamental changes that we long for a return to some normalcy.

But the COVID-19 crisis has also shown that there are practical alternatives to the way we do things. At the same time, the crisis has accelerated the spread of many innovations driven by individuals and businesses, proving that COVID-19 is an opportunity for change.

We need the power, inspiration, and creativity of innovators to make big reconstructions that are really good for society.

agenda

The summit will focus on the following key topics:

Sustainable production: Manufacturing accounts for nearly 50% of global energy consumption and 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions. How can we accelerate sustainable production and make it a competitive advantage?

New digital business models: While business in much of the physical world ground to a halt during the global pandemic, digital business orders surged. How can new digital business models help companies deliver value and build resilience?

Urban infrastructure and services: Many cities face serious barriers to providing basic services, which have been made worse by the COVID-19 pandemic. How can urban innovation help cities improve quality of life, resilience and sustainability?

Keep populations healthy: This outbreak shows the need for countries to strengthen their health systems to ensure that their people have better knowledge and control over their health. How can technology help improve and sustain healthier lives?

Financial innovation: New financial technologies are changing the way services are delivered around the world. How can we capture these technologies and deliver greater value and efficiency to all segments of society?

Cutting-edge technology: The fourth Industrial Revolution technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain and synthetic biology are leading the global transformation. How do we create, scale, and manage these technologies so that they deliver the value we need while "doing no harm"?

New patterns of work: New patterns of work are essential to meet the challenges posed by changing Labour markets, new skill sets and globally connected, technology-driven industries. How do we ensure that employees can keep up with evolving skill demands and have the opportunity to make a targeted contribution to the workplace of the future?

This summit will focus on personal innovation and the innovators behind it. More importantly, it will require participants to contribute to the two major social transitions that make up the "Great restructuring" : the green transition, redesigning our economies for sustainability; And digital transformation, which could include empowering everyone.

To do this, we link learning and collaboration so that we can expand the effective scope of innovation, which is the goal of this summit.
