Where is most of your attention and focus in life going right now?

If you've been in mainstream media, it's very common for us to get caught up in fears with Corona Virus as well as finances. It's easy to get stressed and fearful, but we can't lose perspective.

I'm so thankful that along with the challenges, there's always solutions. This isn't the first time in the world we've dealt with change on a large scale, and this isn't the first time any of us has had to handle tough times. If you think about the worst time of your life... do you remember the dread, fear, and anxiety when you thought you couldn't handle it all? What about the part when you actually made it through and life got much better? I think the majority of the world is at the fearful stage, and we haven't yet seen the stage when things get better, but just because we haven't seen something yet doesn't mean it's not coming.

If you're a part of the 50% of Americans that have had their income negatively impacted by the outbreak, I have some resources to share with you! The following are resources to apply for new work and new opportunities.

For In Person Jobs

-Amazon is opening 100,000 new roles and paying $17/hour through April. Click here to apply.

-Research has seen a 10-fold increase in Delivery Orders. Drivers make about $15-25 an hour. This is safe because big companies have initiated a no contact rule, so you can drop off food at the door and not see anyone. Link to food delivery companies to work for ranked highest paying to lowest.

- With schools shut down, there is an increased demand in babysitters.

Urban Sitter has pay ranges from $8-20 an hour. It's a great company and easy to signup with, however they do charge a $24.95 annual fee to sign up. They do not take any commission from your earnings however.

Care.com offers FREE plans to sign up as a sitter as well as paid plans with more features. There are only two pages of job listings the last time I checked, but still opportunities. You can purchase a background check to provide ease for parents as well. (Care.com includes Babysitters, Nannies, Caregivers, Tutors, Special Needs, House Care and Senior Care Jobs)

Sitter City is FREE to apply, you can pay for a background check and motor vehicle records check, these are told on the website to really increase your chances of getting a job. Pay ranges from $8-21 an hour. There are 15 pages of job listings since I last checked.

- Sell your plasma. This is a link to a sign-up bonus to earn $500 in 8 donations. When you sell your plasma you are hooked to a machine and they drain out some blood, separate your white blood cells, send the blood back and repeat the process until they have enough. If it sounds scary feel free to do your research through google or Youtube first.

Freelance Gigs

Click here for a link to all of the freelance websites beyond Upwork and Fiverr. I do not reccomend Fiverr to work unless you have unique products or services, because people from other countries tend to charge VERY little for their services because currency rates are different so it can be challenging to compete and get the fair wage you deserve. The challenge with many freelance websites is the fee they charge, but I've found a great return on investment on websites like Upwork. I've paid around $5 for applications but received over $400 in paid work.

Work From Home Opportunities

Click here for work from home jobs from big companies. These are great companies you can apply to, but please be careful because some of them pay very little. No matter how hard the economy gets, I know their is a fair wage gig/job available and waiting for you.

VIP kid you can teach English abroad and make $16-22/hour (Must have a Bachelor's Degree)

Remote work from anywhere there is no fee to apply to jobs through this website.

Work From Home Jobs and Extra Cash - This website was shared to me from a Facebook group. The layout can be improved, but if you take a look at their articles they might have something to offer.

Telephone Mystery Shopping - Pretend to be a customer calling a company and report detailed feedback on everything that happened. I have not gone through all these companies, so I am not sure which ones are best. If a company ever asks you to pay money upfront, they are a scam. Please do not work for any companies that do not pay a livable wage.

Get Money From Opening New Bank Accounts

This is an up to date March 2020 record of all the banks that offer you cash when you open a new account with them. Please read the fine print to make sure you meet the requirements to get your cash back.

Applying For Unemployment

"You can apply for unemployment insurance if you’re without access to paid sick leave or are unable to work because of COVID-19. Call IDES at 1-800-244-5631 or visit www2.illinois.gov/ides" - NBC 5 Chicago

I really hope this was helpful. Contact me anytime if I can be helpful in any way. The truth is these are great opportunities, but they will take work to apply, and it can get frustrating at times. I've applied to hundreds of job applications and probably have less than 10% acceptance rate. I've signed up for over 6 mystery shopping companies to find out some only pay $4 a shop. But it's very well worth it. Because I've landed gigs that I would never in a million years dream I could do. I've found mystery shopping companies that pay $225 for one gig.

We're just in a really unique game right now, and the more we play, the more we apply to jobs, the more we apply ourselves, the higher our chances are of finding our own jackpot of gold.

Feel free to contact me anytime if there's anything I can help with.

Disclaimer: No websites shared have paid me any money to share my links. This is of my own research, and not everything I shared is work I have personally done.

If you are financially stable, there is an option to tip writers on this article. I would really appreciate any donations you would like to make. The first $20 I receive I will be using to pay a brand ambassador (workers in the event industry that got hit hard) that currently needs income to just share one of my social media posts and write their truthful opinion on it. The next $5 beyond $25 I will keep for myself. Then I will repeat the process.

Sending you so much love and positive energy <3 :)
