List of best Muslim footballers around the world in 2021. When you talk about the world's most popular games, then placing football on the top will be the right thing to do. Every year football tournaments are held in different countries, and several renowned players take part in them. The players, as well as the audience, share a high level of enthusiasm. The most popular football tournament that is famous around the world is FIFA. Football is being played not only on an international level but National level too.

Several Muslim football players from different countries have played football, but today we will list some famous Muslim footballers worldwide in 2021.

1) Mesut Ozil

A famous footballer who belongs to Germany holds the attacking midfielder position. In his life career, he has played as a wide-fielder too. He started his career by playing for his hometown club like Schalke 04. In Real Madrid, he helped his team win a La Liga title. At the age of 20, he presented Germany in Men's International football and won the year's German player. He was on the list of most popular Muslim football players in the Premier League. On the pitch, he is often seen praying to Allah and, as a true Muslim, reciting Quran before the beginning of every match.

He said, “ I always do that before I go out (on the pitch). I pray and my teammates know that they cannot talk to me during this brief period.”

Once an opponent threw a piece of bread on him, he picked it up, kissed it, and showed respect to the religion.

2. Karim Benzema

A French footballer was born on 19th December 1987. He holds the position of a striker in the France national team and Spanish Club Real Madrid. Known as the world's famous striker, he has won several matches for his team. He had struggled a lot in his life and became famous after winning 13 trophies for his club. He has been playing for Manchester as a central midfielder.

He is famous among other footballers for his extraordinary hairstyles. He is a pious Muslim because he has performed his Pilgrimage in Mecca and recites prayers before every match.

5. Mohammad Salah Ghaly

An Egyptian footballer was born on 15th June 1992. He has been playing in the Egyptian National Team and for English club Liverpool. He has been awarded a trophy of English Premier League Player of the Year in 2017, and in 2018 he was awarded Golden Boot for scoring the highest goals in the season.

He is seen celebrating his victory always with a Sujud and follows Islamic acts of prostration. He is also called "an ambassador of Islam." This religious belief of Salah can be heard in the famous Liverpool songs. A few lines from one of the famous songs are;

"If he's good enough for you/He's good enough for me/If he scores another few/Then I'll be Muslim too," and the ending is, "He's sitting in the mosque/That's where I want to be."

6. Emmanuel Adebayor

A great footballer from Togo was born on 26th February 1984. He has created his place in European clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Arsenal, etc., with his unmatchable hard work. He quit these clubs and started playing as a striker for İstanbul Başakşehir, a Turkish club. He wasn't a Muslim by birth, but in 2015, he converted to Islam. Before accepting Islam, he was a devoted Christian.

7. Eric Abidal

A French footballer born on 11th September 1979. He was a Christian, but in 2007, he converted to Islam to marry a Muslim girl of Algerian origin. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2011, but after defeating his disease, he returned to the club and won many club trophies. He has played for Barcelona and was the central and left-back defender.

8. Nicolas Anelka

Another famous French footballer was born on 14th March 1979. He has played for the French national team as a forward and football manager. ANELKA is famous among his mates for his high speed, stunning technique, ability to assist and score as the central striker. He adopted a Muslim name for himself when he was 16 years old and converted to Islam.

Not only these, but there are also other Muslim footballers too that have been playing for years. Muslim players have played football and other games like basketball, hockey, tennis, etc. Football is a game that is enjoyed by every generation, and people love watching live matches.

These footballers have made their name in the world with their famous tricks and techniques and hard work. Some of them weren't Muslim footballers, but they converted to Islam either early or later in their lives. These footballers have devoted themselves entirely to football, and it has become their passion.
