A friend, takes pride in their fidelity. They take pride in everything they do. They boast about their kindess and beauty. They state they have alway been faithful and never had and never will cheat. All the right words for anybody to make them fall in love with them. The person I am talking about will never read this, but they do not know that I know that they have been unfaithful.

A perfect nickname for them is Fuckface. Perhaps fuckface is blind to it. Perhaps all cheaters are. They believe that changing the story or keeping it a secret from certain people will make everything go away. I know people say I should mind my own business. It's hard when we were taught to stand up to what's wrong. But they also want us to cower and take the easy way out. When a friend, someone you believed to be a good person is doing something wrong. What would you do? I tried confronting them, but Fuckface blocked me, only to unblock me when they needed something.

They had been with Partner Z since November. But the dates don't match up. I remember they split up from partner X around November and got back with partner X in December. I remember how they promised their 'favourite person aka Partner Y' to be with them till Christmas, only to go back to Partner X. In January, they said they were single and Fuckface changed the story. They were not discreet, and I already found the messages from Wifey, My Love and the others. Nothing from Parter W since last year, but I'm sure A-V will be around.

I was almost in that alphabet. If I let them have what they wanted, things would have been different, but I know the results would have been the same. A part of me just wanted Fuckface to love me like they said they did when they first met me.

I made the mistake of looking up their phone. Saw the messages and Fuckface accused my friends of sending Parter W death threats. Once he realised that wasn't plausible since they don't have their details, I was accused.

It reminded me of those guys who have up to a thousand wives and female lovers, but those lovers had to remain loyal to him. It was a complicated life my friend lives, and all I can do is pray. And no matter how much they beg, I cannot allow myself to be caught in a love triangle, square or envelope. Perhaps it would be better to cut them off. But I know it would make a few people sad, especially my best friend, who loves and values us both equally.

So not only did they two-time, but three-time too. Do people take pride in being cheaters, or do they have no respect for other people's feelings at all? It's a double-edged sword, I want Fuckface to be happy, but I also want karma to get to them. In some ways, I think it already did. Even if I call him fuckface in my head, I still care about them. Even though in the past they have done some downright dirty stuff to me. I worry about the path they lead, but sometimes they disgust me.

They will never change. I once wrote a story about unfaithful lovers. It was about a group of friends and their partners and they were cheating on each other. I never ended up finishing it in the end cause I got too lost with it. Somebody left a comment on it that left a lingering effect on me.

"Once a cheater, always a cheater!"

If I ever did end up finishing that story, it would have ended with a lot of heartache, tears and guilt. Little did I know that nearly twenty years later, I would be seeing that story brought to life.

But in real life, this might have a happier ending if I were the protagonist. I decided I do not want to be a cheating accomplice. Choose to be civil and not make the mistake of upsetting them.

Still they can't take away my right to express myself or disclose things between close friends.
