This Past Week, I started my Masters Degree in Social Work, something I have wanted for many years and something that I have been working towards since 2023. This is something that means the world to me, in 3 years I will walk the stage getting my MSW completing the journey of academics that I've wanted to re-write for years. That I was told I would never, by a guy who couldn't care less about me. I changed that story real fast. I worked my butt off for my two college degrees and I'm building something that nobody can touch. I know that all of the effort I am putting in is setting me up for a wonderful life.

NOW the big question that everyone is asking is what am i doing for work? Which honestly feels rude to me since I just started school and it's intense already. And taking up a lot of my time. But I guess since i'm 32, society expects me to be "doing something" so since everyone wants to know, I am making content on instagram, I am a writer, I pet sit, I am building my social media platform all from a mental health space because that's actually one of the things I have always wanted to do. Was use social media for good and to share my story in order to help others. I am also building a scentsy business and i volunteer quite a bit because there are so many wonderful causes in my area that I cannot bear to leave alone. I love to help. I will continue to do this and am always looking for other ways to help.

As for dating, that is off the table. I am never doing it again. Hard no. That part of my life has been ruined. Been there done that bought the tee shirt, I'm bored. Please don't ask. I'm done. Leave me alone.

I will continue to build my platform and my resume and help others. Why? Because after many years of self reflection and therapy i finally realized something. I was given the story to turn around and use it to help others. I was put through all the things to help others. Nothing was wasted. God didn't waste it. Another thing i have found is god. And yes I am still a raging liberal bisexual weirdo. It just means I find comfort in knowing someone is watching over me and has my heart. Praying and finding gratitude gives me comfort. So as i sit at my desk and write this i'm filled with gratitude that I am even here today. It does not mean I agree with everything about religion, it just means i like some of it.

I also know that when I cross that stage in 3 years to get my degree ( I got into a three year program) I will finally be at peace. Everything will have happened the way it needed to and I will be okay. But the best part is? I will have gotten there all on my own. I will have flipped the script and changed the storyline. I will have learned everything I needed to and more. I will have done the work and realized everything that i needed to realize. I can't wait for that day. I will also miss being in school I can already sense that. But I know that it will have prepared me well. I know that every school was a necessary step and everything will be okay.

So ladies don't give up. Your more then enough.
