One of the most profitable ways to help your business make a killing is using social media as an amplifier and therefore, a booster for your financial gains. You may not know this, but social media is one of the most powerful tools to take advantage of nowadays, when Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social networks are increasing in popularity. People want to feel seen, appreciated, loved, cared for, and these social platforms are just the right fit. They fulfill psychological human needs and thus, are the best way to catch your customer’s eye.

Enough talk – let's get down to business. Here are the best methods to increase your brand's popularity online and hijack your profits. Remember no risk, no fun; so, make sure you put in the effort but have no expectations whatsoever. If the first strategy doesn't work, the second one might, and if the second one fails, the third one might be exactly what you're looking for.

1. Pick the adequate platforms for your brand

If you just started your business, you might want to explore for a while until you pick your favorite social media platforms. If, however, you’ve been around for a while, you must already know what your clients want and need. But it’s not always that simple. Sometimes, even when we know what to provide, we still need a strategy. Here are some questions that might guide you along the way.

 What is the goal of a social media platform? What do you want out of it? According to research conducted at the Pew Research Center, Facebook has become one of the most popular social media platforms in the last years. Instagram is following Facebook, with more emphasis on visuals.

 Set up your business goals and then check the numbers – they don’t lie. Make sure you pick the platform that scores the highest in your area of interest/population of interest.

 Who is your competition and how can you be better than them?

 How consistent are you across your website & social media platforms? If you think there is room for improvement, write down some ideas on how you could do that and start working on it!

2. Set up a calendar

You can now plan your posts without any problems. There are various tools online that you can make use of – or, if you can afford it, you could even hire someone to do this for you. However, if you have a tight budget and would have to work on this by yourself, it is smarter to use paper writing services and other freelance helpers to do this for you. Delegating tasks saves money and more importantly, time.

Keep your calendar simple and organized. Make sure you schedule your posts consistently; as I mentioned above, consistency is the key to your customer’s heart. Don’t make any typos within your posts and try to keep a rather positive attitude to attract clientele. Promote your business during memorable events – for example, the Super Bowl, MTV Music Awards, etc.

3. Interact & help them engage

The reason social media contains the word social is that this is exactly how it should be. To score higher on Google rankings but also your customer preference list, your content must be quite social, interactive, and engaging. An online presence without these qualities will be lost. Here are some ideas that might help you.

 Tell a story for your brand. Talking about your services is not enough.

 Set up online Q&A’s and have your customers’ questions answered.

 Check other platforms and, if you like what you see, share their content on your platform.

 Answer to your customers, don’t leave comments or questions unanswered on your website or blog page.

 Personalize their engagement – show them how special they are. Address them personally.

 Send out feedback requests to your list of customers and improve your business according to their needs. Use Survey Monkey or something similar.

4. Do not overpromote yourself

Sometimes, we simply don’t know where to draw the line. Unless…. there is someone else watching our backs, telling us when to stop. So, if you’ve been overpromoting your brand, it is time to stop now. This is a common trap that marketers fall into. When there is too much of you out there, your marketing campaign might have the opposite effect on the customer – they’ll think you are trying that hard for a reason (which is quite obvious, a lack of customers). If their thinking process stops there, you won’t ever be able to turn them into viable customers. You’ll lose credibility and be left empty-handed. So, know where to stop, know where that line is.

5. Include video content!

Another good strategy to increase your social media presence is including video content within your posts. Lately, this has had quite a tremendous effect on business profits. People have less time and patience to read and pay attention, so they need content that attracts without too much effort from their side. This is what video content has been created for! You can grab their attention quite quickly and feed their needs quite simply. Here are the types of videos you might want to look into: live, tutorials or how-to, informational, behind the scenes, and user-generated. Make sure your videos use proper sound and lighting to make your company look professional.

6. Be a great problem-solver

As I mentioned before, your customers have needs that must be solved immediately. They want to be seen and heard – and what better way to do this than by turning your company into the quickest problem-solver? Make sure you monitor all of your social media platforms continuously and come up with solutions for problems that pop up immediately. If you are not answering the client's needs within a maximum of one business day, you are doing something wrong and should revise your strategy.

7. Provide value

The most important thing to consider within your social media campaign is providing value for your customers. If you are not able to come up with reasons for them to consume your content, your profits will never increase. You must find a need that sticks out and come up with the perfect solutions for it. To promote your brand and be successful at it, find something that you have but your competitors don’t – it could be your humor, your offers, or the colors that your campaign is using. Find something that stands out and sell it well.

8. Build a close online community

Last but not least, you should also be concerned with building an online community if you want to be successful in the long run. The more people know about you, the higher your numbers, and thus, the higher the profits. You could hire an influencer to check the social media platforms now and then and interact with other influencers/bloggers/brands. They could leave comments, share content, or even message these people directly. Find people that are passionate about your brand and content and start from there.

Conclusion

Since social media has increased so much in popularity, you must consider this as your first option to reaching your desired audience. Make sure you try implementing these strategies step by step; I am sure that once you get the hang of it, everything will run smoothly. Good luck.
