A professional Twenty20 cricket league in India is called the Indian Premier League (IPL). One of the most well-known and richest cricket leagues in the world, it was established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007.

A former vice-president of the BCCI named Lalit Modi first put out the concept for the IPL in 2007. The league was first established to take advantage of Twenty20 cricket's rising popularity and to give Indian players a platform to display their talent on a large international scale.

In 2008, the IPL's inaugural season was played, with eight franchise clubs representing various Indian locations. A combination of Indian and foreign investors, including  our star players.

On May 27, 2018, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India, the Chennai Super Kings and the Sunrisers Hyderabad competed in the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) championship game.

After winning the toss, Chennai Super Kings decided to field first. Chennai Super Kings were given a goal of 179 runs to reach by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Kane Williamson, Hyderabad's captain, led the team in scoring with 47 runs, while Yusuf Pathan added 45 runs in a flash off just 25 balls. Shane Watson was the most effective bowler for Chennai Super Kings, capturing 2 wickets for 29 runs in his 4 overs.

In response, Chennai Super Kings struggled to get going and quickly lost several of their top order batters. But Shane Watson made a game-winning play.

In 2019 IPL finals The Mumbai Indians chose to bat first after winning the toss. Quinton de Kock, the team's opening player, scored 29 runs off of 17 balls to give them a strong start. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav played a key innings, hitting 71 runs off 54 balls to aid Mumbai Indians in setting Chennai Super Kings a goal of 149 runs to reach.

In retaliation, Chennai Super Kings had a rough start, losing their top order batsmen for very little money. Although his valiant 80 runs off 59 balls, Shane Watson didn't get much help from the other end. Mumbai Indians won by one run thanks to a stunning last over from Lasith Malinga, who took two wickets and held the opposition to nine runs.

Mumbai has gained this victory.

On November 10, 2020, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates, the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals competed in the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) championship game.

The Mumbai Indians chose to bat first after winning the toss. Quinton de Kock, the team's opening player, scored 20 runs off of 12 balls to give them a strong start. With a score of 19 from 20 balls, Suryakumar Yadav contributed to Mumbai Indians' ability to set Delhi Capitals a goal of 157 runs to reach.

In response, Delhi Capitals had a rough start, as opener Marcus Stoinis was out for a duck in the first over. Shreyas Iyer, the captain, played a valiant innings of 65 runs off 50 balls.

Chris Gayle has the highest individual score in the IPL with 175* off 66 balls.

Chris Gayle has the most hundreds in the IPL with six.

David Warner has 50 half-centuries in the IPL, most of any player.

Shikhar Dhawan struck the most fours in the IPL with 591 fours.

Chris Gayle hit the most sixes in the IPL with 369 sixes.

Lasith Malinga has 170 wickets in the IPL, the most of any player.

Alzarri Joseph has the best IPL bowling stats with a 6/12.

Amit Mishra has three five-wicket hauls in the IPL, which is the most.

Most catches in IPL history: Suresh Raina had 102 grabs.

MS Dhoni has 148 dismissals as a wicketkeeper in the IPL.

MS Dhoni played the most IPL games with 211 games.

Most successful IPL partnership: Chris Lynn and Gautam Gambhir - 184 runs
