Korey Cunningham, a former offensive lineman for the New York Giants, was found dead at his home in New Jersey on Thursday. He was 28. On X Friday, the Giants wrote, "We are saddened to hear of the passing of Korey Cunningham." "He was an imperative piece of the soul and kinship of the storage space. Our contemplations are with Korey's family, companions, and colleagues."

NBC News was informed by Clifton police that they arrived at Cunningham's residence around 1:15 p.m. Thursday after a member of his family said they hadn't heard from him. A spokesperson stated that after forcing entry, police "found him deceased." While noting that Cunningham's death is the subject of an investigation, the police spokesperson stated, "No indication of foul play at this time."

The cause of death was not made public. Alabama's 6-foot-6, 311-pound lineman was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL draft. He played college ball at Cincinnati.

In his profession, he played for the Cardinals, New Britain Loyalists, and the Monsters. He was set free from the Goliaths last year and hasn't played in that frame of mind since. The Loyalists likewise shared a proclamation Friday saying the group was "disheartened to learn of the surprising passing of Korey Cunningham."

Cunningham continued to be a part of the other linemen's weekly dinners when he returned to the Giants. "We would welcome him to the Good Old Supper consistently even though he wasn't in the group, which doesn't occur… ever.

"Players on the team are the only ones invited to team dinners," Pugh wrote on social media on Friday. "Except for Korey, who was adored by all the guys, regardless of whether or not you knew him! We would laugh when he told stories.

Although Pugh expressed sadness over the news, he promised to "always remember the good times and the laughs." "Every individual who knew (Cunningham) was better for it," he said, adding, "The world lost an incredible soul."
