Extraction (2020)

The Movie blows my mind on different levels.Extraction 2020 is a masterpiece of action and thriller and I can confidently say that it has set a new standard in the genre.

The story revolves around Tyler Rake, a fearless black market mercenary, played by Chris Hemsworth, who is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of a notorious drug lord, Ovi Mahajan, played by Rudhraksh Jaiswal, from the city of Dhaka in Bangladesh. The movie is a roller coaster ride of suspense and thrill, as Tyler and Ovi face numerous challenges, including corrupt cops, armed gangs, and ruthless mercenaries, in their attempt to escape the city.

• The story themes are so clear and relatable. The director, Sam Hargrave, has done an excellent job of weaving multiple themes, including crime, family, revenge, love, money, and determination, into a coherent and gripping narrative. The use of suspense and thriller was just on point, and I found myself at the edge of my seat throughout the movie.
• The camera work in Extraction is simply breathtaking. Newton Thomas Sigel and his team have done an incredible job of developing shots that are visually stunning and emotionally impactful. The use of aerial shots, tracking shots, and close-ups was masterful, and added to the overall cinematic experience of the movie.
• The lighting in Extraction was another standout aspect of the movie. It was cinematic and soft, and the use of shadows and highlights was just perfect. My favorite scene was the one where Tyler and Ovi were having a conversation in the room. The lighting in that scene was the best I have seen in recent times, and I just wanted to kiss the lighting team.
• The sound design and music choices in Extraction were also excellent. The sound effects were realistic and immersive, and the music choices were spot-on, perfectly complementing the action and suspense of the movie. The scene where Tyler, Ovi, and the police were moving from room to room was a great example of the sound design and music choices coming together to create a thrilling experience.
• The editing and color grading in Extraction were top-notch, and I felt the emotion in every frame. The pacing was perfect, and the use of flashbacks added to the overall emotional depth of the movie. The color grading was also excellent, with the use of warm and cool tones helping to convey the mood and tone of each scene.
• The casting and acting in Extraction were simply phenomenal. Chris Hemsworth gave a standout performance as Tyler Rake, and Rudhraksh Jaiswal was impressive as Ovi Mahajan. Every character in the movie worked, and the stunt work was great. The use of pain and violence was also very effective, and I found myself wincing and cringing during some of the more intense scenes.
• The art department in Extraction also deserves a lot of credit. The set design, costume design, and makeup were all top-notch, and added to the overall cinematic experience of the movie. The special effects were also excellent, and added the realism of the action scenes.
• Finally, I have to mention the collaboration and teamwork that went into making Extraction. With 23 producers and 23 assistant directors, it's clear that this was a huge team effort. The shared profit model also shows that the team was committed to working together to create a great movie.

In conclusion, Extraction is a must-watch movie for anyone who loves action, thriller, and suspense. The story, camera work, lighting, sound, editing, color grading, casting, and art department all come together to create a truly amazing cinematic experience.
