Do You Have an Unfinished WIP?

Do you have an unfinished WIP (work in progress)? Are you terrified of that first chapter, that blank page staring menacingly at you? (See also; this spectacular poem by Lenita Lei: https://vocal.media/poets/the-menacing-white-page)

Well, have no fear;

My brand new Discord server is here!!

I know how it is to have an unfinished WIP. Heck, I've barely done anything with the story of my WIP! I know the plot, the characters, and the world it is set in. I am just terrified of actually writing it.

Writer's fatigue, plot points that need to be kinked out, 2d characters that need a bit of dimension, we can help you with anything!! That is why I am creating a supportive community of writers who will boost each other up and get past whatever aspect of their WIP they struggle with.

Links to writing videos will be posted every Wednesday over various topics; worldbuilding, character-building, plot development, and so much more!!

But there are some rules you are going to have to follow if you join the server.

1. No profanity

I would like to keep this channel very clean, so please do not swear.

2. No vulgar contnent/ sexual innuendos

There may be thirteen year olds on this channel, so please keep the innocent-minded in mind!! Be sure that you would be okay with a ten-year-old sibling viewing.

3. No pornography/explicit content or imagery

Again, don't post anything you wouldn't be okay with a ten-year-old seeing. I want this to be a safe space for young authors to come.

4. No mentioning drugs or alcohol consumption

Do we need to know if you're addicted to marijuana?

I didn't think so.

5. No harassment of any kind.

Do not harass anyone sexually or verbally on this channel. You will be blocked if you harass anyone.

6. Do not bring up politics

I would love to have a little community of writers that can coexist peacefully, and I feel like the only way to do that is not to bring up politics.

It doesn't matter what we're talking about. If you bring up politics in the chat and it becomes a full-on battleground... I hope you've learned your lesson.

If you are a repeat offender, you will be blocked.

7. Do not discriminate on the basis of religion, sexual or gender orientation, or racial background.

I am absolutely fine with people discussing their sexual or gender orientation, religion, and racial background on my server. I am not okay with people discriminating against anyone for being vulnerable about their beliefs and backgrounds. If you do act hatefully against those that dare to speak on these topics, you will be banned.

8. Have fun!!

If you do not have fun, you will be banned.

Haha, I'm just kidding!! I highly doubt that you will stick around anyway if you aren't having fun.

This is literally so that budding authors can connect, cheer each other on, and give each other advice. If you feel like you are not being benefitted by this channel, do not feel obligated to stick around.
