There are many ways to migrate to Australia. But here we are talking about skilled migration process to Australia. We'll go over some alternatives to CDR and why CDR is required in the majority of circumstances. There have been six different techniques to assess migratory skills. These categories are divided into two groups: accredited and non-accredited.

Accredited Qualification Category:

Accredited qualifications are engineering qualifications recognized by official international agreements in Australia and other countries. Undergraduate credentials are used to assess Australia and accord recognised qualifications. Some postgraduate degrees have been recognized as stand-alone degrees. If your undergraduate and postgraduate degrees aren't accredited, you'll need to submit a Competency Demonstration Report (CDR).The Washington, Dublin, and Sydney Accords are all signed by Engineers Australia. To be accredited under the Accords, the qualifications you supply should be based on the signatory countries.

  1. Australian Accord Qualifications:

Graduates of recognized Australian engineering programs are qualified for Australian Qualification Pathways' migration skill evaluation. Engineers Australia accredits each program the following year. When applying for accreditation, applicants must have already begun their studies. It is symbolized by the letter F, while interim accreditation is represented by the letter P. A CDR report is necessary for provisionally approved qualifications.

2. Washington Accord Qualification:

The Washington Accord will examine the qualification specified as accredited by the applicable signatory for recognition. After the organization becomes a signatory to the Washington Accord, accreditation is applied for the qualification. The minimum academic requirement for an assessment is comparable to a four-year engineering bachelor's degree in Australia.

3. Sydney Accord Qualifications:

The Sydney Accord will examine the qualification specified as accredited by the applicable signatory for recognition. The qualification is accredited after the organization becomes a signatory to the Sydney Accord. The minimum academic requirement for an assessment is comparable to a three-year engineering bachelor's degree in Australia. The Sydney Accord will apply to engineering degrees validated by the signatory country's representative body.

4. Dublin Accord Qualifications:

The Dublin Accord will evaluate the qualification specified as accredited by the competent signatory for recognition. After the organization becomes a signatory to the Dublin Accord, accreditation is applied for the qualification. The Dublin Accord will apply to engineering degrees validated by the signatory country's representative body. A pathway application that is not accredited to the qualification will be rejected.

Non-Accredited Qualification Category:

Non-accredited qualifications include CDR reports. Applicants having a bachelor's degree are eligible to apply. Applicants must include information on the nominated occupation in their engineering field with their application. According to the ANZSCO standard, your CDR report should reflect your duties and responsibilities in the stated region.

Engineers who wish to immigrate to Australia must do so under one of the four occupational categories for skilled migration established by the EA. Each occupational category has its own set of requirements. You are eligible to work in Australia if you fit into one of these categories.

  • Professional Engineers
  • Engineering Technologist
  • Engineering Associate
  • Engineering manager

A CDR consists of Following Documents:

The initial set of criteria for evaluating Australian talents through the CDR pathway is based on education, personal identity, and employment information. Five documents make up the key components of a CDR report.

  • 3 career episode
  • 1 (CPD)Continuing Professional Development
  • 1 Summary statement

Things to Think About When Writing A CDR:

Engineers Australia has established a set of guidelines to follow. Only keep the information requested by EA. Include only what you did in the project, rather than what the group did.

  • Your content must be unique. If plagiarism is discovered, you may face a 12- to 36-month ban.
  • Do not falsify your paperwork. Prepare paperwork and proof to support each claim you made.
  • Never fake your document at any costs. Prepare paperwork and evidence to support every claim you made.
  • The parts in your summary statement should be linked to the corresponding paragraphs in the career episodes.
  • Write the Career Episode in the first person.
  • In Career Episode, choose the appropriate category.
  • Always use Australian English

CDR report writing is a tough job. It is wise to delegate this task to a professional. However, if you wish to write your own CDR, there are some guidelines and conventions to follow. Check how to write CDR for perfect CDR writing.
