Crowd1 Response to BBC Africa Documentary

In regards to the current Crowd1 BBC documentary called “Unmasking the Pyramid Kings” and Crowd1 scam review conducted by BBC Africa is, we in the Crowd1 management, as well as the communication team, would like to clarify and inform about the following points:

Much of the BBC’s criticism of Crowd1 in Africa is based on the perception that Crowd1 is a scam company and organization that lacks authenticity, without any real or serious products that we offer to the members. This is obviously an incorrect and false perception of Crowd1 as we offer SAfer and LifeTRNDS, among other interesting and innovative products besides our educational packages.

It is true that some of our product launches have taken longer than expected and have been postponed, however, this is a common phenomenon for start-ups and tech companies, especially during the current world circumstances. Another part of BBC’s false accusations and allegations is that Crowd1 sells financial investment products to people in low-wage countries. No, that is certainly not the case. We do not sell any kind of financial products or provide any form of financial services, however, we offer tools for people to make money in the form of marketing digital products. All remuneration is thus based on work effort and performance.

‍Our vision and compensation plan are equal for all our members, regardless of gender, skin color, ethnicity, sexuality, and nationality, or where you are in the world. Unfortunately, the journalists behind the Crowd1 BBC pyramid kings documentary refused to send their questions in advance, instead, they targeted specific people in the organization rather than Crowd1 as a company.

Unfortunately, the journalists at the BBC denied this and continued to target specific people in the organization rather than Crowd1 as a company. This strikes us as strange as most newsrooms usually prefer to prepare the interviewees in advance. After a few weeks of email conversations regarding this issue, the journalists at BBC Africa sent specific members and some people in the company an email with several "disguised issues'' formulated as accusations and allegations. The communication group in Crowd1 together with Johan Staël von Holstein and Jonas Werner responded to these accusations and allegations in the form of a several pages long written submission (plus appendices) where we rebutted the accusations and allegations with facts and objective statements.

Since Crowd1’s communication team responded to BBC’s accusations and allegations in the form of a several pages long written submission (plus appendices), which is not communicated properly by BBC, we have decided to record our responses and make them public.

After this broadcast airs, there is a risk that the documentary will spread through various media outlets in other parts of the world. As Crowd1 is a large company known by many, there is a great probability that commercial companies and media outlets are drawn towards reporting about this event too. However, this will not be harmful for Crowd1 as we have the Crowd1 networks on our side and we are currently in the middle of the important launch of Miggster. We are well equipped and we stand united and prepared for the possible protracted media storm that this documentary will start.
