Choosing the right platform to host your first e-commerce site when starting to build your first e-commerce store is critical. If you don't pick the right one, you may run into problems in the future, leading to irritation and the need to shift to another platform.

That's a lot of time and energy that could have been spent on something more practical, like fine-tuning your ad wording or introducing a new product.

So, to assist you, we'll compare two major eCommerce systems - BigCommerce and Shoplazza. We'll explain the benefits and drawbacks of each platform and, finally, assist you in selecting the best one!

BigCommerce

Let's start with BigCommerce, the eCommerce behemoth. It was created in 2009 and is a NASDAQ-listed eCommerce platform. There are multiple reasons to choose BigCommerce.

Pros

First and foremost, BigCommerce is more known. That means you'll have access to more specialists. These might include web designers, SEO specialists, and so forth. This is critical for people who lack the requisite abilities.

The second great thing about BigCommerce is that it offers unlimited staff accounts, no matter which plan you choose.

Cons

This platform does have a few shortcomings. The base plan, for example, is highly restricted. Many vital services, such as abandoned cart recovery and Google user reviews, are only available got more expensive subscriptions.

You're also limited in how much you can sell. For example, if you sell more than $50,000 per year, you will be automatically upgraded to the plus plan, regardless of whether you require the additional features.

Shoplazza

Shoplazza, in comparison to BigCommerce, is a newcomer, having started in 2017. Don't be deceived by their relative youth, however, Shoplazza offers a lot.

Pros

For example, all features are included no matter the plan you pick with Shoplazza. All that differs is the size of the commission and the size of your staff. And, unlike BigCommerce, you are not required to upgrade once you reach a certain income threshold.

But what distinguishes Shoplazza from the competition is their added value. They provide free consultation calls to all of their clients in addition to 24/7 assistance. That might be incredibly beneficial for novices in getting started properly.

Cons

Shoplazza, like BigCommerce, has certain drawbacks. For one, Shoplazza deducts a modest portion of your sales. Even if the rate is low (2~0.2%), you will still lose money.

Furthermore, having a restricted number of staff accounts might be a problem. You must select the advanced plan if you have more than six employees. Only then can you create accounts for all staff members.

Which One Should You Pick?

So you've heard the advantages and disadvantages of both platforms. You might be wondering which one would be best for you! That depends on your requirements and future goals.

For example, if you want to construct a small eCommerce business with few to no staff, I propose Shoplazza. There will be no sales income gap for plans, and you will have access to all of the features you require to flourish!

However, if you want to establish a large organization, BigCommerce may be a better option because you may have as many staff accounts as you need. The critical thing to remember is to select a plan appropriate for your earnings.

Conclusion

Those are the distinctions between Shoplazza and BigCommerce. There are compelling reasons in support of either one but, whichever you decide, know that both are excellent options! Thus, go with what you feel, and we hope your next entrepreneurial enterprise is a huge success!
