The Global Lighthouse Network currently has 54 lighthouse factories. As a platform to pioneer, replicate and promote innovation, the network creates opportunities for cross-enterprise learning and collaboration, and sets new benchmarks for the global manufacturing community. The community is committed to sharing and learning best practices, supporting new partnerships, and helping other manufacturers deploy technologies, adopt sustainable practices, and transform and upgrade their workforce.

The experience of the Global Lighthouse Network shows that the manufacturing and supply chain sectors are undergoing four major transformations:

1. Enterprise agility and customer focus;

Supply chain resilience; 3.

3. Speed and productivity;

4. Ecological efficiency.

The Forum recently released a report entitled Global Lighthouse Network: Four Enduring Transformations are Helping the Manufacturing Sector to rebuild on a massive scale Four Durable Shifts for a Great Reset in Manufacturing), addresses the latest trends and how factories are adapting to the evolving industry and production environment. These four shifts set the benchmark for the "next normal" path for manufacturing, highlighting how manufacturing can drive "the world's Renaissance" and help the world emerge from the COVID-19 crisis and gradually recover.

The new lighthouse factories include:

Asia

Alibaba (Hangzhou) : Alibaba Xunxi Pilot plant combines powerful digital technology with consumer insights to create a new digital new manufacturing model. It enables end-to-end on-demand production based on consumer demand and helps small businesses gain competitiveness in the rapidly growing fashion and apparel market by reducing delivery times by 75%, inventory requirements by 30%, and even water consumption by 50%.

Micron Technology (Taichung) : In order to promote the further increase of productivity, meguiar's large quantities of advanced semiconductor memory manufacturers have developed integrated iot and analysis platform, ensure real-time identification can make exceptions, at the same time provide root cause analysis automation, so as to speed up as much as 20% of the new products put into production, to reduce as much as 30% of the unplanned downtime, and improved the labor productivity by 20%.

Midea group (guangzhou) : in the face of the fierce competition in the home appliance industry and the rapid development of e-commerce and increasingly complex, midea group of the fourth industrial revolution on Internet from factory automation to the end-to-end value chain of the transformation and upgrading, labor efficiency increased by 28%, unit cost was reduced by 14%, delivery period shorten by 56%.

The European

Renault Group (Mobage) : In order to maintain the competitiveness of the factory (is recognized as one of the league's best performing light commercial vehicles), Renault group in its widely deployed in the 50 years history of manufacturing plant for the fourth time the industrial revolution technology, thereby reducing the 50% warranty events, improved the factory to deal with a variety of vehicle configuration flexibility, and reduces the manufacturing cost by 16%.

Janssen Large Molecule (Cork) : With the rapidly changing and increasing demand for biological products, digital Janssen by connect internal research and development, manufacturing and external manufacturing, the deployment of advanced process control solutions at the same time, in order to realize the state near real-time supply chain visibility, reliability will be increased by 50%, and 20% lower in cost and speed up the transfer of technology.

Novo Nordisk (Shiller) : Faced with volume growth, rising complexity, and cost pressures, Novo Nordisk has invested heavily in digitalization, automation, and advanced analytics. In order to scale up, Novo Nordisk has built a robust company-wide Iiot operating system that has increased device efficiency and productivity by 30%

In the Middle East

Saudi Aramco (Kouaz) : As part of the Saudi aramco is committed to improve the toughness of operations, library, oil field was built for completely interconnected iof, has more than 40000 sensors, covers the distribution of more than 500 Wells in 150 x 40 kilometers, implements the independent process control of equipment and piping, remote operation and monitoring, so as to maximize the well production, Smart completion technology alone can contribute at least 15% of production.

In North America

DCP Midstream (Denver) : Driven by the need to respond to market volatility through operational transformation and innovative efficiency, DCP Midstream uses in-house developed digital solutions and technology venture partnerships to combine operational remote control with its planning, logistics, and commerce systems for real-time optimization of profits, creating more than $50 million in value.

Schneider electric (Lexington) : in order to keep the business and technical advantage, schneider electric has more than 60 years history of the factory used the technology for the fourth time the industrial revolution, has realized the transition from suppliers to customers of the end-to-end complete, increased by 20%, customer satisfaction demand forecasting accuracy rate increased by 20%, and cut energy costs by 26%.

Enno de Boer, partner and Global Manufacturing leader at McKinsey, said, "The achievements of members of the Global Lighthouse Network are strong evidence that the innovative technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, once they have completed their pilot phase, will generate significant gains in productivity and put people first in business strategies. We are now into the next stage of normal development period, we have the opportunity to take advantage of these innovative technology, actively push forward in our study, we identified four lasting change, promote transformation and upgrading of manufacturing and supply chain operations, and to widely, including workers, consumers and the natural environment, stakeholder value creation."
