Nobody should get to blame you for wanting this because Chandigarh has the most well-connected and efficient road network in India. It is also strategically placed between the most inspiring and incredible states of North India such as Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and of course Himachal Pradesh.

The destinations that we are going to talk about today have probably always been on your mind. The only thing is that you never had the time to explore them nicely. But that's the whole point of it. You don't need much time to explore these destinations at all. They are, at most, 3 hours away from your home, give or take. And the best part is that you are going to enjoy the route to these places as much as the destination itself. Let's explore:

Go Crazy In Morni Hills :

Morni is located in Haryana. It is being promoted as one of the most happening sports destinations in the state for several reasons. It is also home to some of the most beautiful and peaceful resorts, hotels, and homestays. A very popular tourist destination and a picnic spot here is the Tikkar Taal which is the crown of Morni Hills Chandigarh. It is surrounded by green landscapes and accompanied by many cafes and restaurants. There is motorboating, paragliding, obstacle races for kids, amusement parks, and a lot more that you can explore here.

Let's Drive To Dharampur:

Dharampur is without a doubt a great destination, especially if you want to beat the summer heat of Chandigarh. It is also very close to the cute town of Kasauli. Dharampur is located only 1 hour and 20 minutes from Chandigarh. If you are looking for a break from your busy routine and want to get lost in the misty hills of the Himalayas, Dharampur is the most easily reachable and enjoyable destination. You are going to be surprised by the number of cafes, restaurants, and eating joints on the way. There is never going to be a dull day in Dharampur.

Nahan Waits For You This Summer:

Nahan is located in Himachal Pradesh and it is again a very peaceful spot that you probably have not explored yet. It is only 2 hours away from Chandigarh and also home to the very famous Renuka Lake. Nahan shows you the side of Himachal that you have never seen before. The topography is quite different from what you usually see in and around Shimla and Manali. There are numerous local restaurants and eating joints where you can enjoy the local food at. A few kilometres ahead of Nahan is Jamta which is again a place that you will fall in love with for its picturesque views and tranquil landscape.

Pinjaur In Haryana Is A Delight:

If you are looking for a spot ideal for a family picnic, Pinjore is the place to be. The Pinjore Gardens is a great place to spend your Sunday afternoon because of its beautiful location and the practically unlimited activities that you can do here. The endless green pastures of Pinjore are a delight and there is also a DJ setup there that keeps you constantly entertained. The spring season is perfect for a visit to the Pinjore Gardens for it has hundreds of colours and thousands of flowers waiting for you.

Dehradun, The Underrated Valley:

Dehradun in Uttarakhand is only a 4-hour drive from Chandigarh. The view completely changes once you enter this valley city. It is also a great site for camping enthusiasts. If you are looking for a hilly adventure, this is the place that you should check out next. Dehradun is also close to the most frequented hill station in India which is Mussoorie and also has great connectivity with Dhanaulti and Rishikesh.

These places are easily accessible, highly recommended, and incredibly underrated. So let’s just give you a quick overview of the very famous spots that you can visit there.

Dehradun is known for its Tapkeshwar Temple and Robber’s Cave among many other things. Then there is the Tikkar Taal in Morni Hills, and the amusement park nearby. Nahan has the Renuka Ji Temple and the lake and Pinjore and Dharampur are close to each other, so you are already en route to Kasauli when you visit either of these places. In the end, let's just say that your weekend trip away from Chandigarh is going to be one of the most memorable experiences.
