Coach and Its Roles:

For most of us, coach plays a very special place in our life.

Our sports coach who motivated us to run faster, jump higher, and be fitter.

The education coach (teacher) who taught us what we know

A spiritual coach who helps us keep ourselves centered

And there are voice coaches, acting coaches, body language coaches, language coaches and so on.

There is a new brand of coaches that is emerging and fast taking a very prominent role in everybody’s life.

NLP coach, Life Coach, Performance Coach, Behavior Coach, Mental Health Coach

First of all let us understand what kind of role these coaches play

  1. Decoding the mental processes: some coaches work with how our minds work.
  2. Helping understand life: we are programmed to think that all events in our life are a part of a narrative that eventually culminates in a grand climax. Some coaches work in making sense of events that do not contribute to this climax or narrative.
  3. Remedy mistakes and regrets: some of us are stuck in memories of things done wrong and wishful thinking. Some coaches help in changing the perspective and bring mistakes and regrets to closure.
  4. Changing attitude: our environment and upbringing can create some set patterns in us, which can be unhelpful to us in some part of our life. Some coaches work with helping the clients change this programming and develop a new attitude.
  5. Enhance performance: whether it is in sports or in a white collared or blue-collared job, everyone wants to be able to get over whatever is limiting them and become a higher and higher version of themselves. So some coaches help their clients overcome their limitations.
  6. Goal settings and creating processes: sometimes clients need none of the above but only setting a vision, and aligning their efforts to achievement of this vision through long, medium and short term goals.

Do you have a potential to become a coach?

This development is not recent. Since the development of psychology and the need for people to become better and better, those who have decoded what it takes, have been leading the way for the rest of the people.

Some write books, make videos,  some are motivational speakers and  personal guides.

So, can you become any one of these?

The answer in one word, is, YES

You can become any of this, if you have been pursuing a better learning for yourself. Working on your own attitude, behavior and working on your own past and future.

And even if you aren't, but want to be in a position to coach others, you can definitely become a coach.

What qualifications do you need to get?

Honestly, there is no governing authority which regulates who can become a coach and what “coach” really means. According to some Master Coaches, if you are good at something, even if you are two steps ahead., you can lead the way for those who are two steps behind you.

Of course, if you feel there is some psychology you need to study, or a specific system of coaching you need to follow, you can find many systems available through many different coaches. There are also some bodies like the ICF which have laid down criteria for you to follow for them to give you a commonly recognized credential.

My journey of becoming a coach.

After exploring many different systems in my own endeavor of becoming a coach, I coincidentally met Ridhima through a friend of mine. And as soon as I started learning from Ridhima, or rather ‘modeling’ her, I realized that I had no need to study all the other systems at all. I will explain why and what i mean by ‘modeling’

Ridhima, being the Best NLP trainer in India, is working constantly with the co-developers of NLP including New Code (which is a whole new level of coaching in itself). This means that the knowledge comes to us unfiltered. She is herself so great at modeling the Stalwarts, that it is almost as if we are learning from the co-creators themselves.

Neuro Linguistic Programming is a system, which works on the present, with the physiology of the present and the language of the present. There is no need to learn how the mind works, what label anything has, or if I understand what is going on in the client's head at all. It is easy, simple, and quick. Anybody who has basic communication skills can learn NLP, and be quite good at it.

Modelling with NLP

Now let me explain Modeling: NLP is a system which started the process of modeling geniuses. How they work and creating a system out of that, so that others can just follow the steps and become geniuses themselves. What came out of this process, is not a step by step, but a whole world of choices and options that we can have that can take us in any direction we want. And when i decided I want to become Ridhima, all I had to do is micro-muscle mirror her and pace with her (which she taught me herself) and keep doing it,

In fact, my very logical mind wanted to write down every step and nuance of what Ridhima is doing and them recreate it for myself. But Masters like Ridhima Dua live the process, and that is the thing to do. So, using the unconscious dialogue that she taught me, I just kept modeling her.

Coach Certification

For those of you who want a certificate, a document certifying your credentials in this field, Ridhima’s organization is authorized to give you ITA certifications Diploma in Classic code and New Code NLP, and an International Coach Certification which gives you international recognition.

Ridhima says, in NLP we don't talk, we do. And experience. SO, the best way to decide for yourself is to experience one of her LIVE sessions. Follow her on her FB group tinyurl.com/RidhimaFBGroup to ensure you catch the next live session.
