It is currently accessible to businesses with privacy and security needs. According to a media report, Kamakoti stated that IIT Madras "looks forward to working together with many more private enterprises, government organisations, strategic agencies, and telecom service providers to boost the usage and implementation of BharOS."

Pradhan praised the development and stated that "the country's poor people will be the principal benefactors of a strong, native, stable, and self-reliant digital infrastructure.BharOS is a successful step towards data privacy.

The Made in India OS is not the first:
