A Vocal Ambassadors Strategy

I joined the Vocal Ambassadors program fairly soon after I joined Vocal in the hope of gaining a little more coffee money. When I started Vocal paid $5 for someone taking up a subscription, which was alright, but with their massive Fiction Challenge Vocal upped this to twenty dollars which if you are on Vocal+ is effectively instantly withdrawable when it hits your Vocal wallet.

Vocal have changed their payment model (October 2022) it is now 50%. Whether this is for the initial payment or it is a rolling amount I have just got my first two conversions, and it looks like it will be:

• $4.50 for a monthly $9.99 sign up
• $24.50 for a $49 sign up
• $49.50 for a $99 sign up

My main problem with it is that it is not directly linked to your Vocal Profile so you need a separate link, although payment does come into your Vocal wallet so Vocal have the link, I just think it would be logical for the Ambassadors Program to be a link off your profile like Resources or Public Profile.

That is my only real gripe with it.

When you go to the Vocal Ambassadors page it gives you a default link that takes you to the Vocal Homepage but it tells you that you can link to any Vocal page with the addition of your personalised tag.

Now this is probably not worth doing when you are sharing your posts in Vocal Facebook groups as people will already probably be Vocal and even Vocal+ members so you will not gain a subscription from that.

However if you share your post in non Vocal Facebook groups, on other social media such as Twitter, Pinterest or your own blog, then the chances are you may get non Vocal members reading and when they read your article they will get a pop up asking them if they want to join Vocal+. Most will just close it down, but some may be tempted by the potential riches that may be acquired from the Challenges and if they sign up they will show on your dashboard as a lead. Vocal then has to wait and see if those leads turn into paying members and when they do you will get your referral bonus which at the moment stands at $20.

At the moment I have had almostseven thousand visitors who have visited Vocal using my links which may seem impressive, although it does mean they have probably clicked a link and read an article of mine which will have resulted in twelve dollars from reads alone, which is a success. Out of those there have been 35leads, 27 of which have resulted in a bonus payment, which is less than half of a per cent return on my visits and has generated $510 in bonuses which is certainly not to be sniffed at.

The key part is the ?via=mike which should be added to every link you make where you think you may be attracting non Vocal members. Remember that most of these will result in nothing, but the ones that work out do generate a tidy income.

My Ambassadors income is fifty per cent of my total Vocal Income, but my total Vocal Read Income is still only $110 ($510 from bonuses and $95 from tips), so that means the Ambassador’s income is three times my Vocal Read income.

So if you are not a Vocal Ambassador sign up now, using the link I shared above. Then whenever you share your Vocal story links, especially externally to the Facebook groups (although you can still do this for every link) make sure you add your Ambassador token (?via=mike), and you will at least see the visits rack up and then eventually you will get a first lead and then a conversion.

Once you have a conversion you have to wait around thirty days, then the money is transferred to your Vocal Wallet. You can check when payment is due on the Commissions tab.
