A NEW IDEA FOR A SUFFERING WORLD

With all of the depressing things going on in the world, the Crazee Chixz have found a way to uplift those around them. Christy F. Smith and 0..000000.0Daphne M. Matthews, yes the author of this, created a business that began its journey in September of 2020. That year was bad for everyone. Small businesses were closing their doors -- some after serving their community for decades. It was a tough time to depend on the public to spend a little extra money on items that were not necessities. So, Christy and Daphne decided to start a podcast to help promote small businesses, entrepreneurs, band and all musicians, artists, authors, chefs, crafters, hobbyist, and more and more. They started with their area, Tri-Cities, Tennessee, which is accepted to be in the general area of Roan Mountain on the south, Bulls Gap to the west, Wise County, VA, to the North and Abingdon, VA a little Northeast, and Mountain City, TN on the east. That's a large area of land! But, the reason they began their focus here is this: People of this area are often criticized for being "Hillbillies", or "Backward Country Folks", "uneducated", "unhealthy", "no shoes", and "unclean". The Crazee Chixz will tell you loud and proud that this idea of the area just isn't true.

Daphne and Christy are both located in Sullivan County, TN, but Christy is in the Kingsport area, and Daphne is in the Blountville area. They have been friends for 30 years and get along great -- not that they don't disagree, because they do on occasion, but they discuss it and work together. That's a hard relationship to find in a career. The best part is that they love it. They love meeting the people of the community and promoting them, with no cost to the person, group, entity being promoted, everywhere that the podcast and YouTube channels can reach. It reaches worldwide and although its only a small percentage, their voices reach the entire world. They literally have downloads from all over the world.

Christy and Daphne uploaded their first 3 podcasts on January 1, 2021 and were amazed that they quickly met two milestones. However, with the same problems that everyone else in the world is facing plus work schedules and family commitments, it is sometimes hard to get the interviews. Then, there are several hours of editing for each episode which prolongs the process of getting the interview and then getting it published and live for listening or viewing.

They hope to completely fund their adventure through sponsorships from local businesses. At this time, it is a free service and they will keep it that way as long as possible.

The Crazee Chixz main goal: "Show the world how beautiful their area of the country is, and mostly, how talented the people of their little area of this huge world is." After all, in the Tri-Cities area, there are bands that can rival those who are signed to labels in Nashville and elsewhere. There are talented artists who just decide to pick up a paintbrush one day and create art-gallery worthy pieces. Local chefs, those who train at the prestigious school in Bristol and elsewhere, create delightful and yummy dishes for those who are braving the restaurants right now. And authors, like Daphne, who are begging bookstores to host a book signing to support their new books that are coming out at a good time for reading but not a great time to let readers know it is available.
