9 Profitable Business Ideas for Students In Pakistan

Are you a student looking to build a fund for your college? Do you want to start a side hustle for some residual income? Or some savings to splurge on college supply? Maybe you want to rake in some serious money without having to depend on your degree.

Whatever your motives, if you are looking to make money and gain some profit on the side, you have come to the right place.

Here we will show you some profitable business ideas that students can start without having to compromise on their studies.

1. Blogging Business for students in Pakistan

If you look around the net, you will find a blog on almost every corner of it. The internet is saturated with bloggers. Then why am I recommending it to you? This is because it is the time of the information market. People are consuming more information than ever before. They read blogs about everything and anything. Even the physical product market has information sites. The Service market has blogs and websites. Every kind of information is out there on the internet. And there is still a need for more. That is if you can add a fresh taste of your own to the information you give out.

Blogging provides a perfect platform for voicing, through words, any knowledge or opinion you want to share with the world. Students have a fresh mind and voice. If you have certain knowledge, you think will be able to solve certain problems of the people, starting a blog to put that out is the way to go. Don’t go for what is already out there in heaps. Target a niche market that has low competition yet an impressive audience. This might require some research. And after you start getting visitors, you can monetize it with Ad Sense or sponsorships, etc. But remember to always stay away from plagiarism.

2. Freelancing

Keeping up with point number 1, freelancing is my next suggestion. If you think you won’t be able to keep up with the time and effort that goes into a personal blog, or you need money fast (i.e. in less time than blogging), then freelancing is the way to go. You can sell almost any service you can imagine. You can either go to freelancing websites or search the internet yourself, for individually available freelancing jobs. You can also get these gigs on Facebook groups. Freelancing sites usually take a portion of your earnings.

Here you can write blog posts for other people on your own time. You can do various types of writing, from business to academic and copywriting as well. Once you are established and have a good portfolio and feedback, you can expand into various niches. But it’s better to stick to a particular niche at the start. That is whatever you are good at or are interested in. Besides writing, you can also offer other services. You can learn other skills like graphic designing or video editing and painting, then sell them as well.

Remember to do good research on your competition, since there is quite a lot of it.

3. Home Tuition.

Even though you can teach online as well, but some students might want to study in person. So, if you are good at a certain subject, say math, then you can offer home tuition to those who might need it.

You can also start an academy or tuition at your own place and teach multiple students at a time. Other than teaching a subject, you can offer to teach a skill as well, such as cooking, etc. The teaching business can turn out to be quite lucrative.

4. Start an E-commerce/Re-selling business as a student

One of the biggest businesses in the world is Amazon. Amazon is a giant e-commerce store. It flourishes on selling products worldwide and mainly operates online. One thing that you learn from this is that, if you have something to sell, then selling it is the way to get some extra cash flowing.

You might have some extra things lying around that you don’t use, but someone else might. Maybe some clothes you don’t wear. If there’s something useless to you, consider the fact that it might be useful to somebody else. You can sell on different e-commerce websites, or you can sell on Facebook buy and sell groups. This is by no means the limit. Direct selling is another way to go. So, get going.

5. Start Digital Marketing

The main thing businesses thrive on is marketing. And digital marketing is on the verge of taking over as the main medium of marketing. Everything is going digital. Social media consumption and online buyers are growing tremendously. And if you can help businesses reach this digital audience with skill and efficiency, then you are going to be very in demand.

You can learn how to manage social media handles, grow a following and reach out to a large audience. Also not just tell them, but connect with the audience as well. Engage them in the brand to generate loyal customers. Social media marketers and managers are the next big thing.

6. Catering business for students

Students can start a catering business for a very low cost and especially for hostel students. People living in hostels tend to order in a lot. You can either deliver home-cooked food or deliver for other small home-based food businesses.

You can also cater to parties, birthdays, weddings, farewells, and all kinds of college and non-college functions and events. There’s no limit to what you can serve and to whom.

7. Fitness programs

Have you been complimented on your physical stature? Do you have a passion for fitness? Or maybe you have great knowledge about nutritious food? You are in luck because food, health, and nutrition are the biggest industries right now. People are more interested than ever in getting and staying fit. Different diets take up all the social media rage these days.

Here’s the key; you can sell your fitness knowledge. You can sell custom diet plans or teach about nutrition and weight loss. Or you can start a fitness group like a yoga center and help people in staying fit and strong while getting some heavy bucks for it.

8. Start making money on YouTube

YouTube stars are all the hype right now. Everybody wants to start a YouTube channel. Whether it’s a Vlog channel or an educational channel, etc. If you can convey something useful and entertaining to the audiences and have some video making skills with you, then the YouTube channel can prove quite lucrative.

Here is how much money I have made uploading videos to YouTube as a student:

Video is the most consumed form of media. And YouTube is the home of videos. You can go about making any kind of videos that the audience would like to watch. There are game reviews, product reviews, comedy, educational videos, etc. All you need to do is learn good video making and editing skills and get going.

9. Sell Pure Water

There are many free pure water plants from where you can get bottles filled. And then sell them home to home. There are lots of people who need pure water. They purchase big bottles for dispensers as well. You can also buy pure water in bulk for cheap and sell them at a profit.

So, invest those savings in a great business and get ready to have money rolling in. Good luck with your business endeavors.
